I'd seen the desk in the store, so I knew it was just what I was looking for to set my laptop and Cricut machine on. Very functional for me. Only one thing, the corners really hurt when you run into them.

This is a good, solid, well-built desk. The instructions were easy to follow in assembling. Only negative is that the edge of the desk top feels " sharp" to the forearms, if you tend to rest them on the edge. But that can be easily remedied by running some sandpaper lightly over the edge.

This desk is great. Looks very stylish. I actually liked it even better in person. It did take a while to assemble but was NOT difficult at all. The directions are very clearly laid out. In regard to some of the comments about uneven drawers...that's a quick fix. That is why there are oval holes where the screw goes to atttach the drawer slides to the drawer. Just go back after you assemble it and loosen and adjust accordingly. Took 30 seconds for me to fix the drawers so that they sat evenly.
I am extremely happy with this purchase. I was a little nervous admittedly from some of the cons I had read. So glad I took a chance. Great price...Great product!

Recieved the desk site-to-store with free shipping. The top of the desk was cracked, looked like it had been dropped on the corner. Sauder sent out a replacement part ASAP with no questions asked! Very nice customer service! Looks great for the low price I paid, and very simple to put together.

This desk was a great buy! The price was awesome for such a nice piece, and we were able to put it together in 1-2 hours. I love that it has a filing cabinet drawer, and the desktop is very spacious without taking up a lot of room. I have a computer monitor in one corner, a printer in the other, and I still have plenty of room to have books and notebooks open. The finish is really nice, it has nice detailing, and everybody that's come over has remarked on how nice it looks. One warning, it is HEAVY, so if you pick it up at the store, take somebody with you to give you a hand!

Great desk for the price! Assembly was long (lots of steps) but the directions were good. Some pieces weren't marked so you had to do a process of elimination to figure out which was which, but overall it was packaged well and not too difficult. The desk feels very solid and looks great. The only real drawback is that the back isn't finished, so this has to be a wall desk. Other than that, I love it!

I was a little skeptical about purchasing this desk because of the bad reviews about the drawers not fitting very good. After a lot of searching, this was the only desk for the money that fit my needs so I made the plunge and purchased it. I'm elderly with limited mobility so my Son assembled it for me. The instruction are very good and he had it together in about three hours. Sure enough, at first the drawers were not aligned correctly, but you can make adjustments on the front of the rails and also on the drawer fronts. After about 5/10 min. he had them working just fine. It is a very nice looking desk and I would recommend it if you have limited space.

First- we had to use a drill b/c some of the boards did not have holes pre-drilled.
Second- while the picture does show the person side of the desk it does not show or state anywhere that the out facing side of the desk is unfinished. The outside board does not look anything like the desk. It is just a black pre-fab board. I could live with that, but the edge is not completed at all, so you can see the inside unfinished edge.
Third- Just know that the Antiqued Black really means that parts of it look unpainted.
It took two maintance guys 4 hours to put it together and the drawers still do not work properly. After all that I gues they fugure you are not going to tear it down and send it back.
Very Disappointed.

The desk is really nice to look at but it has that cheap feel when opening drawers(for the price I guess that is to be expected). The instructions were very well written and easy to follow. The drawers were the hardest to assemble and trying to align them so they did not hit each other requires patients( I had my husband do this part).

I've bought Sauder products in the past, but disappointed with the quality of this product. The desk top has a crack about 4" long. Since it is on the back side and we had part of the desk put together, we decided to keep it rather than go thru the hassle of returning it. We had to make adjustment to the drawers so they would open smoothly. Just not what we expected of Sauder. I guess they're cutting corners like all other manufacturers.
