I was satisfied with price and how the shipping was handled, but I am disappointed for some of the items that are meant to work. The chandlier light supposed to come on, whenever you put the battery with proper plugged in. It does not work, and the fireplace that is supposed to rise up after pushing the button, that does not work either. Other than that I am satisfied with the item, and it is great fun play house for girls to play with.

Pretty cool Barbie house for little girls, but seems cheaply made. The lights for the fireplace only work if you push the fireplace against the wall, the hot tub is missing the faucet on mine, the fridge won't close all the way, and the elevator doesn't work very well. It is huge though, and my daughter doesn't even notice the flaws. It is the only thing she has played with for the last two days.

I purchased this for my daughter for her birthday. The cord for the elevator was not long enough so I had to rig it to work. After one day it broke since it wasnt used correctly. Half of the lights and sounds never worked either. Even with the elevator no longer works and the lights dont work, my daughter loves it and plays with it alot. I do think that its not really worth the price if not everything is working but not willing to return it otherwise my daughter would be very disappointed!

This Barbie Dream House was easy to install. Our grand daughter just loves this and it is very sturdy. The only drawback is the elevator, just have to be careful when pulling the string to raise and or lower the elevator. I called Mattel and they immediately sent me another string to put away for future use.

I bought this for my daughter for her 7th birthday and it has been a huge hit! I had planned on buying her the Ultimate Dream Castle but after reading all the bad reviews and how poor the quality was I'm glad I got this instead. She loves it and plays with it everyday.

This Barbie house is very cool, really something else. My granddaughter Katelyn loves it, and she cant keep her little one year old brother out of it.. and he wont leave her Barbies alone.

Was disappointed in quality the plastic pieces broke before even playing with. While there are certainly a lot of bells an whistles to attract the quality is not there. Wish I would have ordered the wooden optio for Barbies.

i read a ton of reviews on this house and i was not sure put i ordered it anyway and i'm glad i did first off let me say this if you put this together with out hearing a click you will have a very flimsy house you must put pressure on the white post the bottom will click in to place and the top even the bed needs to click if not they will fall off because there is nothing to hold in to place the Chandler is not that complicated either i stuck my head under to make sure i lined it up just right some of the people complained about the instructions are you serious if you know your shapes and are at least 5 years old you can understand it i actually was blown away with the elevator it was so easy and people said it was difficult to figure out .It took me 20 min that's it and it is sturdy and very beautiful don't rush through it take your time and it is a fabulous toy

We bought this for our 6 year old daughter and she is having a ball with it. There are so many ways to play with this and we were surprised there were so many detailed pieces. I do think the $145 price is a little steep but we still bought it since it was the ONLY thing she wanted. Now, she plays with it almost exclusively. Glad we got it.

This was an unexpected gift for my daughter and when she saw it her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree! This house lights up, is state of the art and is hours of fun. All of the little parts were intimidating at first, but overall it was easy (and a little fun) to assemble. Even if it wasn't, the joy it brought my daughter was worth it. A little pricey, but sturdy and worth the cost.

This has a lot bang for the buck. It has everything you would need to fill a house even down to the tooth brush. One thing that would have been nice would have been more storage compartments for all the cool gadgets. By far the best value.

Ladies, no matter what you hear, buy this for your child. It's going to make her so happy. Barbie is a doll in which I always loved. I had her dream house and car and clothes and jet and camper and all those little things, but nothing compares. Yes, it was difficult to put together, but is it worth it? Yes. Without a doubt, this is going to be one of the most used toys you will get for your child, next to a laptop, phone and iPod. This toy is for girls with imagination and hopes and dreams to become whatever she wants to be. The house is amazing, as is always with Barbie. Just buy it. I'm 16, and although it seems as though I'm young and childish, I'm not. I'm just a huge Barbie fan and I do photoshoots of my dolls in the house. Cousins of mine have come over and played with the house for hours on end. It's a fabulous buy, for young and old.

Bought for a 3.5-4 yr. old as Christmas present
Pros:
- Pretty tall, lots of pieces, bright and colorful, large
- Really good instructions and very easy and quick to put together.
- On this 2nd house we've bought, everything lights up and turns on (but we took the chandalier out because it hangs down low and my daughter keeps knocking the barbies into it and it falls out#

- Had to return the first one because the chandalier light wouldn't work unless we held it into the ceiling just the right way and the TV wouldn't come up so that mechanism must have been broken.
- The string for the elevator is EXTREMELY tight so it keeps popping out of the top of the elevator; for the 2nd house we bought we just told our daughter not to use the elevator :#
- If your child has a tendency to lose pieces of toys then expect the majority of the pieces to be lost quickly; the pieces are interesting BUT soooooo tiny (especially the tooth brush and perfume bottles)
