The AT&T DECT 6.0 Cordless Expansion Handset with a silver and black finish offers excellent clarity and long-range coverage. The cordless phone enables Intercom capability between AT&T DECT 6.0 handsets, which can also be used to transfer calls. Two AT&T DECT 6.0 cordless phones, and an outside line, can be connected for conference calls. The handset can store up to 50 name and number contacts for easy call management. With features like new and missed call indicators, a redialing option for five recent calls, and caller ID capability, the AT&T DECT 6.0 Expansion Handset makes wireless communication quick and easy. The ringer tones and volume can be adjusted for your convenience. Further, the setup menu can be set in Spanish, French, or English depending on your preference. The lighted display and keypad of the AT&T Expansion Handset allows for easy dialing.

I had previously bought a 3 pack. We needed another one so I was able to but this single one. It was super easy to "sync" it to the phone system already in place. It is connected to the whole system now and works great. I have had the other 3 for about a year and they have worked great.

Trying to find a replacement phone for my AT&T EP5995 EP590-3. This one is not it.
All manufacturers seem to be making cheaper phones. Adding and deleting features.
The sound quality of handset speakerphone of EP5995 is best I have run across. No new phone matches the sound quality of the EP5995. The EP5995 provides a blinking light whenever there is a new message on answering machine. This new phone CL80109 does not have this feature. Yes there is a tiny icon on the dull handset screen that does state a message on answering machine but you have to actually pick up the handset press a key to light up screen to view this tiny icon. No blinking light on handset of the CL8109.
The good part of this phone is that you can enter information such as date and time on one handset and all pick this up.
No naming of handset with this phone. No recording of ringtone. Yes, the EP5995 lets you record a verbal ringtone on every handset and a different one for each handset. Neat feature lost on all new phones.
Each phone can have its own ringtone. Very limited choices.
Volume of ringtones just does not go loud enough for some of us. The older EP5995 has a loud ringtone. This new CL80109 is nowhere near as loud as the older AT&T phone.
The older EP5995 has a much more solid feel to it.
The older EP5995 has a color screen. Gone on this CL80109.
Only the answering machine has a beep when there is a message waiting. Not loud enough. Can be turned off for those who do not wish to have an audible beep.
The sound quality of the handsets - my end/listening - was good. Not as good as the EP5995 but better then the Panasonic and Vtech. Not as loud as the older EP5995. But adequate. People on other end state that sound comes in perfectly. No static on either end.
There was no delay in pressing keys on the older EP5995. There is a delay on this newer CL80109.
I think AT&T just buys phones from other manufacturers and rebrands them. You could always count on a quality good featured phone from AT&T. I have read all the reviews of all of the AT&T phones and all have drawbacks and quality issues.
I settled on this phone - AT&T as the price was low and quality adequate. I returned 2 Panasonic and one Vtech.
The older AT&T EP5995 is long discontinued and no handsets new or used are still available.
I would not have purchased this phone except I got this one for $54.95 free shipping refurbished. With answering machine and 4 handsets.
I'll keep it but continue to look for a better quality phone. Read all of the reviews and make sure this phone meets your needs.

I bought two of these extra handsets to add to my 5-phone answering system. I had a couple of older 2.8GHz phones in the basement, and found that they were interfering with my home wireless network, especially on my wife's computer on the second floor. Setup was a snap, with simple easy to follow instructions, the new phones were numbered by the system as #6 and #7. This DECT 6.0 answering system, and the phones work very well, and are moderately priced.

This phone meets all my needs. Each handset has a speaker phone option which is great for those long conference calls allowing me to multi-task. Overall, sound and function is good. I had a problem with one handset where it was hard to hear after my kids dropped it one too many times but that's probably to be expected. Another handset had the numbers rubbing off since it got the most use. I would have thought the #'s is something that wouldn't wear off.
Now if they just made these so they wouldn't fall off the roof of my truck as I drive off I wouldn't need to order another handset.
I would recommend this phone.

I've purchased numerous brands of home phones in the past 8 years but these are by far the best working and longer lasting phones thus far. I haven't had any problems out of this brand & model at all in the past 2 years that I have owned them. Excellent product built to last with excellent quality for your money.
