Amazing reception with no effort

While I was first hooking it up, I tossed this antenna in a nearby chair temporarily until I could position it. To my amazement, I got an immediate picture and had clear reception of many channels our old antenna always had trouble with. We had a similar flat antenna but with rabbit ears and a converter box. I found out most TVs less than 5 yrs old have digital converters built in. So I bought this RCA for our new TV and ditched the box... one less remote to fool with. The reception with this antenna really was a vast improvement and we finally get to see those channels in HD as intended. Our old setup had difficulty with UHF channels, but this RCA breezes through them all with no breakup whatsoever-- even found a couple I didn't know existed!
The instructions say it works best when placed flat, but we found the reception better when it hangs on the wall. So the white color is nice and it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. My only complaint is a factor I just didn't think of until afterward- Our old converter box provided a channel guide (showing about 12 hrs of programming info) and of course, this does not. That guide wasn't very reliable, but I do miss it regardless.

This unit takes a lot of adjusting. You have to adjust it differently for each network channel. The cables are very sensitive so the slightess movement will cause the picture to scramble or go black. You might get it to work great one day, but the next day it is all different again. I plan to return it and buy a better antenna. It is too frustrating to try to watch TV.

After wiring it up I just laid it on a shelf. The reception is GREAT for the digital stations operating in
this area. Have not used it during storms yet to see if it fades out like SAT TV.
The picture is amazingly sharp and the colors are warm. For now it has my praise.

This RCA Digital Flat Passive Antenna works great for me since I'm only 7 miles from the tower arrays on a nearby mountain. I just attached the included coax cable to my HDTV and laid the atenna on a shelf inside the TV Console. Picks up every channel in the area with stunning clarity. The local broadcast channels actually come in more clear than they did on my paid cable service. Only 4 stars for "Meets Expectations" since it's much thicker than other brands "Paper plate thin" models, but 5 stars for "Value" since it only cost half as much as those brands. Would buy again without hesitation. Also, used ship to store which worked great: park in reserved spot, call number on sign, and they bring your package out to you. Happy Yippie Yay-Hey!!

I bought this for a tv in a sometimes home. I connected to my Sansung 32" tv I bought from Walmark as I con't see paying cable proces for a tv I don't use that often. I was really sceptical but it works perfectly. Easy to set up. Glad I made this choice.

This is the second of i have purchased. This antenna is very simple to connect. Easy to use and well built. I use this antenna as a back-up when my satellite antenna is not able to receive a signal due mostly to bad weather or high winds. I rely on this antenna to at least allow me to access my local channels for news and weather. it's an inexpensive way to receive important information when necessary.

I bought this antenna and hooked it up and could only get a few stations and not very good at that as the stations fade in and out. I have another antenna that I paid $49 for and am very pleased with it so I'll take this back and get another one like the one I already have.

We had a big problem tuning in local channels after the sloppy installation job Comcast did - they added too many splitters that seriously degraded the signal. We attached this RCA digital flat antenna and ALL the local channels we were missing were back again - plus even more channels that we were never able to get before! All in HD, too.
Highly recommended!

this is a nice, compact unit at a great price. I was able to pick up 50 OTA channels, comparable to a $70 unit.
I would not hang it on a wall, visible to others. But it does hide easily.
