It's really three devices in one box. Connect four PCs directly or attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection.

Over all this product is fantastic... but unfortunately I am one of the unlucky few who got a product that was defective out of the box. Do not get me wrong, this product works great: increased web page load speeds and the Network Magic software that comes with it makes it a breeze to connect to a network and other computers. Unfortunately the only problem is that it is defective and disconnects from the internet at random and that is the only problem with it so i will return it for the exact same model since it meets all my expectations for performance.

well i would say that this router should be used for game systems. i have a wii (proud nintendo fan) and ive always wanted to use the virtual console to buy ocarina of time, and there was no wifi available. so i decided to get a wifi router. all the reviews ive read say they had problems with connecting to their laptops. so i would use this for game systems but if you going to buy it for a laptop i reccomend it because dont let those other people tell you what to buy. linksys is very good

Great router for the price

I bought this router several months ago because it was cheap and easy to install, after having it for several months it still works really great, no recommendation on going very far from this router on a wireless connection but it does a perfect job.

This router is a piece of junk. I have had this product for approximately 6 months and I am on the phone with support all of the time for hours at a time. It will work fine for a few hours and then I will lose internet connection. 2X it did something so my IP address was no longer recognized and I had to call support to have them correct the problem only to have it happen again. Now it doesnt change the IP address it just wont let me on the internet via my laptop or desktop until I reboot the system. What a hassle!

Horrible Device

I have owned this router for over a year now. It is a terrible router. Never keeps connections open. I have 3 computers running with this Network. 2 of them are used for online gaming. This device can not handle constant streaming. Do not waste your time or money with this. You will get what you pay for.

Was having Broadview install their security system and they told me they needed to install it via a router (so I didnt have to pay for a home phone line) and they recommended a Linksys. I spent 2 hours, 1x online chat with Linksys, 3x over the phone chat and 1x Linksys take over my computer and install it themselves and it still never worked...
Took it back, bought a NETGEAR, <5 minutes later, EVERYTHING was up and running...

Do NOT buy this router. I am an ip networking expert. This thing is a piece of junk.
You may be satisfied with this router if you have only one computer and do nothing more than check email.
Anything beyond that, forget it.

I bought this router to use with a network extender for cell phone service. It is horrible! I've had it about a month and I lose my internet connection at least 3 times a day. I wish I had spent more for a better product. I guess you get what you pay for.

Poor Value

This router actually slowed down my broadband connection for both our Netbook and PC. Easy to install, but that's the only good thing about it. My advise is to do the same thing I did, return it and get one with a better rating from CNET.com

This was my first wireless router purchase, ever. I was a little scared that it would be tough to install and get going. It was easy. I am getting Netflix movies on my Wii and I have my other game sytems online with no problems at all. . I couldn't be any happier.

Good for connecting to your Wii

I bought this router so I could hook my Wii up to the Internet as well as stream movies on my Wii through my Netflix account. So far it has worked flawlessly. Connecting it was extremely easy...I had mine set up in about 10 minutes. The price was also excellent.

I got home with this from Wal-mart at 7:00PM, tried to install it, but ended up re-installing and got everything going with my old router by 12:00. I called Tech support, and after spending a hour on the phone they said I had a internet problem when they were none.
This went back to Wal-mart the next day.

I really like this router it seems to work well. The only problem I have is that it keeps wanting me to upgrade the software. They do not tell you there is an added expense when you buy it. I haven't upgraded the software and everything seems to work fine except for the nagging. It is really easy to setup and use. I hard wire a desktop and I also wireless a laptop. Get great reception and intruders are blocked.

Allthough I am very computer literate, this router is super, super easy to install right out of the box. I would say almost anyone could install this if they knew nothing about networking and have a home network set up, provided of course, they have either DSL or Cable Broadband in their home. Set up took no more than 15 minutes and we had wi-fi throughout the house.
