This is one of the best purchases we have EVER made. It is amazing. The picture quality in HD couldn't be any better. The color beautiful. We switched the sound from TV to Music on the menu options and it is much better. Maybe the reviewer's who ranked the sound as pour quality should try this. It really does make a difference. We looked at several of the other brands, but this one came highly recommeded so we bought it. I will never regret doing so. It also is very sleek and modern looking. Way to go Samsung!!

We shopped and looked in retail stores to compare prices for more than 6 months. We are thrilled on this purchase. We live in a Studio Apt and we needed a view that had a wide angle. This Samsung has a great picture! Dynamic colors and clarity. We made our purchase 5 days before Super Bowl and got a great price at Walmart of $648!!! Great Deal. Fast and Free shipping. Now we can see the print on the screen without jumping up to read the small screen.

I bought this tv to replace a 32 inch Samsung that I've had for just over a year....it just stopped turning on there is power just wont turn on. Wasn't pleased but I liked the picture so I thought I would get another Samsung, this time I went with a 40 inch and PAID a bit more. Walmart had it to my home within the week, which was GREAT but went to turn this one on for the first time....NOTHING! Checked the plugin made sure everything was as it should be and still NOTHING. So I called the Samsung help line....the lady was VERY rude...I explained what was wrong with BOTH tv's and she continued to be unhelpful and pretty much said take it back to the store and on the year old 32 inch she said "your warranty is only good for a year don't know what to tell you" Anyway, I returned to 40in to Walmart whom again were outstanding with taking it back, and according to a salesman....it seems that Samsung has an issue with the battery pack that is inside the tv for the on/off...LOL Nice to know..... I ended up buying another brand! Oh and it turned on right out of the box!

The picture quality is superb and I didn't need to make adjustments. It's relatively light weight so the set up was easier than with older styes. I received it in less than a week with free shipping. I would highly recommend this product and my experience on-line and the delivery. I bought the blue ray DVD player and watching movies is now just amazing. The HD movie watching experience has been the most exciting and the biggest upgrade over my old set.

great pic and graphics,needed repair soon after setup,2 HDMI ports do not work, serviceman will replace "board", advertized features deceptive ie.., closed caption only works with analog and PIP feature only works with aux components,not a true PIP with only one tuner,purchased purchased LNB40630 Samsung from amazon with no issues as of yet. BOTTOM LINE LCD technology needs more reliability. NOTE.do not buy RCA LCD tvs,compatability w/ cable very poor

I finally gave in to the pressure of my kids to get a new T.V. Our old T.V. was a Samsung . We never had any trouble with it so I wanted another one. I read all the reviews I could find on this particular one and thats why I deceided on this particular one plus this was the largest that my console would hold. We have only had it for 2 weeks but we really like it. Picture quality is great,but in order to use the volume from the remote you have to point it to the right side of the T.V. which is difficult if you are on the opposite side of the room, it is aggravating. You have to be in that certain area to get it to work.

had to buy 2, one did not work - permanent lines on screen, controller did not work over half the time. product support by samsung is TERRIBLE. if it is messed up, don't try to have them fix it. just take it back.
