This movie is the best, every american should see it. Too bad we don't treat each other with this much love, diginity and respect when we are alive. Why does it have to wait for death??

My kid's dad was in the military and as a military family, we lived among the military community for many years. But long before my realtionship with their dad, I was always very patriotic, wanting to make the military a career myself. That was not to be.

In April 2004, my nephew was killed in Iraq. He was also very patriotic and had wanted to serve in all 5 branches of the military. He had already served in the Navy, he was killed active duty Army.

When I watched this movie, I cried - silently, then loudly, long and hard. With each step of Chance's journey home, I became more and more proud to be an American.

I am honored not only by Chance's service but by the service of the many men and women who have served or are currently serving. Thank you for the blanket of freedom your service has provided.

To the families that have lost their sons and daughters while they served our country, my sincere condolences and my deep felt appreciation.

I have 2 children now, 1 of which's desire is join the Marines. I am so blessed to be a woman, to have felt life and to have given birth to life. As any mom would tell you, my kids are extraordinary. While watching the special features - the photo clips of the real Chance - it was as if I was looking back at the growing up years of my own son. My son is also a history buff and he too desires to become one of America's finest - an American soldier.

Great movie, a must see!!!! God bless our military!

EXCELLENT MOVIE...Bring a box of tissues... if you dont shed a tear you arent human. I was fortunate enough to go to high school with Mike Strobl...The movie gives you a renewed appreciation for our military...Two thumbs up

this is a movie EVERYONE should see. I didn't know that someone in the Marine Corp accompanies a fallen soldier to his/her hometown for burial. As a mother of new Marine, I was touched and moved to tears that someone else cares as much for my Marine as I do. What a privilege it would be to experience this honorable deed. I was also surprised to learn about the many people involved in preparing the fallen soldiers return home. What an exceptional movie.

Loved this movie. My husband is in the marines and it was very realistic. Amazing and inspiring story.

Yes, Marines do take care of their own. And this is testament to that. It will give you great insight to the Marine Corps values that are instilled in every Marine, present and former.

This HBO movie derived from the journal of the officer who accompanies a Private First Class who has been Killed In Action in Iraq on his journey home is a movie no one should miss. Fair warning, prepare your heart. The respect, dignity and honor deserved to every one of our fighting boys is exemplified in this moving, moving story. Thank you Chance. As a mom of a soldier deploying to Afghanistan soon, I sincerely thank HBO for this movie.
