My daughter and I use this bunk in our room. Real space saver. Build was easy enough. Boxes held up in shipping. No missing pieces. Great price! This bunk bed is high. At 5'7"+, you can sit-up on the bottom bunk without hitting your head on the top bunk. We got the white one and it really lightens up the room. If you're a light sleeper, use ear plugs. This bed does squeak. My daughter is a heavy sleeper so she does not move much thank God.

Review 2 for Twin-Over-Twin Premium Metal Bunk Bed, White
I needed to replace my kids bunk beds post-Hurricane Sandy. These fit the bill: the price is right and now that they are together they are sturdy. I didn't put them together (my husband did) but it did take quite a few hours. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

Review 3 for Twin-Over-Twin Premium Metal Bunk Bed, White
The assembly directions are unclear and lacking detail. We had the whole bed put together when we discovered that the upper side rail was upside down, thus making it impossible to attach the ladder. We had to take the whole bed apart and start again. The directions simply did not tell us how to correctly position this rail.

Review 4 for Twin-Over-Twin Premium Metal Bunk Bed, White
The bed has been in use about a week now and the kids just love it. It is very sturdy and well built. With help from my son, we completed assembly in just an hour and 20 minutes. It is a very good value, especially for the price. I would reccommend this bed to friends.

Review 5 for Twin-Over-Twin Premium Metal Bunk Bed, White
My grandpa and I were able to put this bunk together fairly easily. No additional tools needed. It is strong, stable and fits wonderfully along a wall in my kids' small bedroom. It comes with many parts and screws which can be a little overwhelming after un-boxing. However, the directions were clear and simple to follow. I used standard twin mattresses and bunk mats were unnecessary. If you have an hour or two to spare for assembly, I would recommend this bed.
Qyality is good looks modern and clean it feels sturdy. I weigh 184 pounds and tried the top bunk, it felt safe and it did not wave to the sides. I doubt that it will hod a 250 pound person as the specs said. But my grandchildren are not even half that. Putting it together was kind of hard. Time consuming and istructions were not as detailed as I would prefer. The Plastic caps for the mattress support rails are very hard to install. The instructions do not advise on the installation. I had to devise a tool to install them, (the handle of a spatula served as the pushing instrument to clip the caps into the holes and I greased each of the legs to make it go smoother) otherwise it would have been harder. Over all it was worth the work.

Review 7 for Twin-Over-Twin Premium Metal Bunk Bed, White
I had expected some of the pieces to atleast be partially assembled. No such luck, it is in SEVERAL pieces. And half the mattress supports were warped and had to be beaten into place with a rubber mallet. Plus the ladder would not attach correctly(the top is a much tighter fit than the bottom & we could barely get the rungs in place). The instructions gave NO help for it as they are not at all clear about attaching the ladder. It took all morning for 2 adults to put the bed together (much longer than I had expected). The girls love their new bed though and they have more room than when it was separate beds.

Easy to put together, sturdy construction, no need for bunky boards because the mattress supports are also metal and about 4" apart. These are better than any high end wood bunks.

Review 9 for Twin-Over-Twin Premium Metal Bunk Bed, White
The bed looks very nice put together but also took 5 hours to put together. The instructions are not very clear.you do One step then go ahead and on another step it would say the part had to be a certain way. Just very aggravating and time consuming. I also suggest to put extra screws in the bag, so if you have to take it apart you can use a new screw since some of them became striped.

Review 10 for Twin-Over-Twin Premium Metal Bunk Bed, White
This bunk bed was our first big purchase online. We had the bed delivered from store to home. It arrived 2 days earlier then expected in a very long box taller then my refridgerator. I helped my boyfriend put it together but for the most part he did it himself with ease. It did take a few hours though. The bed is simple, nice, and very sturdy to my surprise. I makes NO squeeky sounds so far. The only thing I dont like is the ladder. My daughter can get up and down just fine but if the ladder extended out just a bit more that would help her esp when she is sleepy in the morning. Over all Im happy with our decision to buy this bed.

Review 12 for Twin-Over-Twin Premium Metal Bunk Bed, White
We bought 2 of these for a guest room in my mother's house. They're very, very sturdy and pretty attractive looking. Assembly was very easy except for the plastic tabs that hold the bed slats in place ..... what a PAIN!!! Literally a pain; my fingers were aching by the time I finished (there's a LOT of them). I did figure out how to get one side of them in and then I used one of the ladder rungs (not assembled yet) to pop the other side in. You'll see what I mean when you assemble one, but it made it much easier on my poor hands. I had two sets assembled in just under 3 hours. I used a drill with an allen wrench bit which made the process MUCH faster and easier. I imagine if I had to turn all the screws by hand it would've taken much longer. There's a lot of clearance between the bottom bunk and top, easily enough for an adult to sit on the bottom bunk. I'm sure my kids will complain about the ladder hurting their feet, the rungs are very thin, but that's not a big deal in the overall picture. A great value. Site to store shipping was easy, too.

Budget Friendly, Solid Construction

After reading many reviews, I decided to take a chance on this particular bunk-bed, 1) due to low price and 2) construction ratings that were great among previous buyers. The reviews stating amount of time were accurate, but instructions did not prove too difficult. We purchased this bed for our daughters (ages 10 and 12) and they love it. We chose this model vs. a bunk with a ladder that reaches the floor simply because of the space it saves and thus far, my daughters are thrilled. They have a tropical themed room and have already decorated the sides with hanging monkeys, greenery, and parrots to dress it up. The bed does not wobble or feel insecure at all and I would recommend this because I am in to saving money and getting a quality product, and in this case...it fits the bill!! Thanks again Walmart!

This bed is good for the value, it has lots of overhead space in the bottom bunk, but with that comes the negative that it does not have a lot of space under the bunk towards the floor. I tried to fit sliding drawers under it and it would not fit. If broken down into two beds, which it does they would both be really low to the ground. but at least it has that option as most metal beds do not. Its sturdy and strong however ours does wobble a bit. ( not sure if its design or my husband didn't follow directions 100%. Again it does what I stated and does hold more than 150lb on each of the beds... most don't.

Space saver! Clean look!

I received the package and was faced with the daunting task of putting the beds together. I had read reviews which varied. Would all the pieces be there? Did I truly need another person to help? I'm definitely someone who prefers to put things together alone and that is what I intended to do. Aside from the part where the beds needed to be propped up to insert screws, you can basically go at it alone! It took about 5 hours. Every piece (and some extras) were accounted for. The most tedious part was snapping in the gray plastic pieces to secure the bed slats. They did not go in very easily and this was the most time consuming. The directions were matter-of-fact and easy to follow. The bed looks great, is not squeaky (at least so far) as was reported by some reviewers, and is a total space saver. My 11 and 4-year old daughters absolutely love it! I plan to have them use it for a few years until my oldest goes off to her own room. For now they love eachother's company so these bunkbeds help with space. I would recommend this bed. Great for the price! My daughter had one complaint which was that the ladder hurt her feet. This was easily remedied with some foam pipe covers that I cut to size and decorated with colored duct tape to match their room decor. Walah! "Problem" solved. ;-)

take extra time to put it together

after putting this together, my husband said to give it 3 stars. i'll repeat what other people have said: don't unwrap anything before you need it because some things aren't marked on the pieces, read the directions carefully, be careful with the plastic pieces that snap above the bars. the plastic pieces are HARD to get in-they DO NOT just "snap in" as the directions say. my husband got out pliers, bent the piece a little, put one side in and then had to use the pliers to get the other side in. there are 88 of those for EACH bed--took forever! also, just be careful when putting things together. we were reading directions and watching what we were doing and still ended up putting one rail on upside down, which of course you don't realize until the end when you put the ladder on. the rails aren't marked top/bottom but there is only one side with the extra hole for the ladder. because my husband is a perfectionist, he took stuff apart, including taking out 44 of the plastic tabs, and switched it, but i would have just gotten out the drill and made a new hole. anyway, after all that, he said it's only a 3 star bed. i am giving it 4 stars though because our kids love it! it's very sturdy and seems very safe. we are going to put something around the ladder rungs as they hurt our daughters feet a little, but other then that they are thrilled with their new beds and i like that i can sit on the bottom bunk to read a book at bedtime and make the bed without hitting my head because there is a lot of space between the beds. we're very happy with it (now that it's together)!

Assembly was easy, so after glancing at first page of manual I didn't even look anymore, but that was mistake that resulted in wasted time disassembling and reassembling because certain parts are interchangeable it's possible to assemble wrong, I found that out the hard way when I got to the end and tried to mount a middle support leg and there was no mounting hole at the bottom, turns out the rail that has the hole I mounted at the top! The most difficult and literally painful part was to mount 50 or so plastic tabs that secure mattress support rods, most are bit over sized and I had to use X-acto knife to resize, hammer and sliding clams to push them in. We ended up only securing bottom half, it was 3 am and it took almost 5 hours to assembly and kids went to sleep on our bed. In general not counting plastic tabs assembly is pretty easy, just make sure to use the right rails. The bed assembled is a bit shaky when you climb on, the ladder would have been much easier to climb if it was angled, in general it's strong and able to withstand at least 250lb (bottom part anyway). It's great value as I found out a one descent soft mattress will cost more then this bed.
