Not again

I liked the look of this tent. I really liked the option of the rain fly canopy. The tent set up rather easily and quickly. That is where the positive ends and the frustration begins. Within the first 24 hours of camping in this tent I had to add additional guidelines and had to use duct tape to repair two of the poles. The next day the tent totally collapsed in light to medium winds and another pole broke and cut a hole in the rain fly. Do not buy this tent.

love/ hate issue

This is a rather impressive tent to see put up. It has lots of room and the pourch is a very nice feature. The only potential problem I could see when I first set it up was that the main rods were rather small in size. My concerns didn't go un-answered for long. After a week of airing out the tent, the short fiberglass pourch rod split down the center of one of the sections. Luckly no damage to the tent material. Due to the weakend state of the rainfly one of the main rods also broke leaveing all of the weight and stress on the remaining primary rod. This in turn caused several minor stress cracks to show up on all sections of the rod. I called the company who were very helpful and sent out a new set. If anything I think this style of tent could use an upgrade on the size of tent rods. I plan on looking into aftermarket, stronger and maybe even lighter rods. I say lighter because this tent is not light. Over all I was very impressed how this tent did in the rain and how well it blocked out the sun when under the rainfly. I personaly think this is a good tent and would recommend it under certian pretex.

It was time friendly for set up. Could of been "tighter fit" with rods. End openings of Canopy could have been higher. Consept was good. Hard to reach zipper at top of doorway due to Slant design. You tend to Fall into tent when trying to open. Ventilation was great. Plenty of room. Material seemed a little thin.

Walmart = Great! This tent = Not-so-great!

We purchased this tent for a family campout (2 adults and 2 small children). It is a great value and probably a good tent for very fair weather (including mild rain). The problems arose for us around 1am when high winds (probably sustained at 20-25 mph) came through the area. The front porch area created by the rain fly works really well as a sail, although I don't think that was the intention. Also, the tent itself was slightly collapsed by the wind pushing on it. Again, I don't recommend this tent if you are expecting windy conditions. For mild rain and other fair weather, it is probably fine, and certainly a great value! Walmart is wonderful! They issued a prompt, no-questions-asked, refund (with receipt, of course). Very fair!

Ok, I set this tent up by myself without a problem. Super easy to do, and with all the space one could ask for. The front Canopy is great for shade!
That's my simple review.

I LOVE this tent!

It's so spacious! We had three people, two twin size air mattresses, a large cooler and two large containers inside and still had room to move around. We had a brief rainstorm blow through and the tent held up just fine. The strong winds blew one side of the canopy loose (stakes could be better) but with a little extra elbow grease it stayed the course of the storm. Wonderful tent for a great price!

I bought this tent a week ago and set it up the day it got to my house and it just happened to rain so we left it standing for the night. It did not leak rain at all very impressed with this tent. The awning area was also very nice beings we were outside we just decided since we had the tent up we mise well sit under the awning while its raining. Never got wet at all. Although the awing is nice its not a huge front porch by no means, but will keep a couple of people dry anyway.

arrival of package was a suprise ,it looked like it was already returned and repacked for resale. The size that is indicated are incorrect 12x15 includes canopy, where stated (does not include canopy) need to change this discription . That actual tent size is 12 x 10. We are now packing it back up and returning to store.

BEST TENT TO BUY

CAN'T BEAT THE VALUE AND DEFINITLY A GOOD BRAND!! My boyfriend and I set up the tent the day after we have gotten it. It took a little while to set up but you really didn't even need to read the directions. It was very spacious and the rain fly covering the tent was a lot larger than expected whch was a good thing. Its nice because if it rains the ground isn't wet right before you get into the tent and very little dirt or sand gets in because of the tarp mat. Very large windows! My boufriend is about 6'3 and it was easy for him to stand up and move around the tent. Everything exceeded our expections especially for the price you pay. The best part of all was that it was easy to put back into the bag when we were done!!! Definitly a must buy

Easy to setup with 2 people. Good ventilation. Plenty of space inside and canopy gives ample shade. Large double entrance doors. Large carry bag, was able to fit everything back without having to expand it. Nice features--2 sets of internal pockets, gear shelf, room divider. Consider stronger ground stakes for front of canopy for windy conditions.

We haven't tried it in the rain, but so far this tent is definately living up to expectations. We absolutely LOVE the "porch" like area and all the large windows which definately helps here in south Florida. It took a little while to put up but wasn't complicated to figure out. Loved the large bag, which is rare with tents. We were able to put it back in. Amazing!
