Sony Bravia 46" 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV, KDL46S5100

Everything works just as expected except one component input only works in black and white. I have not contacted wal-mart or sony about this yet.

I just got my TV via 'Site To Store' and it was a great experience. I love the TV. The only one thing that I didn't like was the bolts to mount it on the wall were not included and there was no mention of the size so I had to call tech support to find out what size bolts I needed. This ate up a bunch of time otherwise it was very easy to unpack and put up. I love the TV so far. The football games this sunday were so much better (even though my team lost)

This is a good TV, especially when I purchased it 3 months ago. However, over that course of 3 months the HDMI connections started doing some weird things.

My set up is very simple: HDMI 1 is connected to Digital Cable, HDMI 2 is connected to my SONY PS3 and HDMI 3 is connected to my SONY DVD upscale player. The problems I started having was the HDMI connections weren’t reading the signals sent by each component. At first I though it was the digital cable, because I stopped getting a signal. So, I had my cable company come out to my house three times and the last time they exchanged the digital DVR cable box with a new one. However, I noticed that when I turned on my DVD upscale using the "Bravia" features, I could no longer get a signal from my digital cable. So I unplugged the HDMI 1 (digital cable) and connected it to HDMI 3 (DVD upscale), then I received a cable signal. Same thing was happening to my PS3 (HDMI 2). It was like the PS3 and the DVD player kept knock'en out the cable signal.
So after hours off troubleshooting this ongoing problem, I realized, it wasn't my digital cable boxes, PS3 or DVD player, it was the TV itself and since it was over 90 days, since the day I purchased it, I couldn't return it to Wal-mart. So I called SONY and come to find out, SONY apparently knows about this problem. So SONY sent me a software update in the form of a USB drive. I received the USB drive, connected it to the back of the TV and the TV updated the software. The process took about 3 minutes and so far, everything is working fine.

I guess the biggest problem I have with this situation is that, if SONY knows this TV need a software update, why don't they recall the TV or send the software update to each store that is selling the TV, so customers don't have to go through this madness? So I wrote this review to warn customers who's buying this TV and those who brought this TV of what to expect as you connect components to this TV using the HDMI ports over time. I would also recommend buying an extended warranty, just to be safe in the long run.

Very nice TV, HD is awesome, make sure you get HD from your cable company, and use a quality HDMI cable

I wanted a big screen TV that was HD ready. Well, I got it with this one. Great picture, and it covers the wall I wanted it to go on. Don't forget the tip and tilt wall mount. I had mine put in by someone who knows how to put them in, as it was a bit to much for me alone.
Now I can sit and watch TV and it's wonderful.
You can't go wrong with this big screen. The color is great, very real looking. Can't think of a thing wrong with this TV.

I PURCHASED THE SONY BRAVIA 46" TV. DELIVERY TIME WAS AS STATED AND I ANXIOUSLY AWAITED THE ITEM. WE UNPACKED THE WELL PACKED TV. SET IT UP WITHIN 10 MINS. THAT'S PUTTING IT ON ITS OWN STAND, CONNECTED WIRES ETC. WHEN I TURNED ON THE SET I WAS AWED BY THE BEAUTIFUL AND SHARP COLOR. THE NEXT DAY, I HAD THE HD MAN INSTALLED HD..
WELL, NEVER IN MY LIFE WILL I EVER SEE SUCH A PIN POINT PICTURE. I FELT LIKE I COULD JUMP RIGHT INTO THE TV. THANKS SONY, THANKS WALMART FOR PRICE AND SERVICE. I MADE THE BUY OF THE YEAR AND WILL ENJOY THIS SET FOR MANY A YEAR TO COME...

Bought my Sony a couple of weeks ago. Love it. Great right out of the box. Had more options than I thought it would. Like the remote, easy to use. Saved money buy purchasing on the Walmart Web, Site to Store. Recomend it.

This is a very nice tv. I ordered it as a bundle that came with the HDMI cable and the Sony Bravia Surround Sound Theatre.

The TV was simple to hook up (took me about 10 minutes). I have not hooked up the surround sound yet but once I'm ready to I'm sure the instructions will make it easy.

Good product. If you are looking for a high quality tv that will last you a while, do yourself a favor-- spend a little extra and get a SONY!!!!!!!

Great picture, but, I had to return the first one. The picture went out after about a week. Took it back to walmart and exchanged it with the same. I am hoping the first one was a lemon, it happens.
