Toshiba 17" Satellite P305D-S8995E Laptop PC with AMD Turion 64 x2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-60, 250GB Hard Drive

I put off buying a laptop for the longest time because of the prices and the hassle, but this Toshiba was one of the best buys I've ever made. It was easy to set up (once I figured out what a "wireless router" was!) and now I use the laptop every day. It's fast and I love the size of the screen, and the price was the best I found. The few drawbacks: 1) The speakers are not great, but that was not a deal-breaker for me; 2) You will have to get the Microsoft Office suite separately; and 3) The laptop is a little heavy for travel. But overall, an excellent deal, and Wal-Mart was great with the delivery.

I have so much trouble with the mouse pad. It lags behind or it will unexpectedly send you back to the previous page. It hasn't worked right since I got it.

I love this laptop. The colors on the screen are unbelieveable. Laptop is fast and full size keyboard is great.

I must admit, I was very skeptical. I couldn't look at the laptop at any local Wal-Mart Stores; had to purchase it online. What attracted me was definately the price, but it had strong technical specifications and options too.

1000000% satisfied! Wow! And I am very hard to satisfy. Great performance.

Two things that take some getting used to: the shining finish; however it is what Toshiba said it would be>very durable.

The built in 10-Key pad makes the keyboard off-center to the very wide screen. So it takes a couple of days to get used to "moving over to the left" on the keyboard to type. You also find your self running off to the right on the touchpad mouse.

Again, just takes a couple of days and you will learn the correct feel. As a consultant, to have the built in 10-Key pad is a great option.

Great machine at one heck of a price!

Love my new laptop. It is even nicer than the website details explain. The speakers are much louder than other laptops, and the 17" screen is great for watching videos and viewing multiple applications. I personally like that it came already setup, and is built very durable. My friends and family also admire the style which is very attractive. The Webcam is so fun to mess with, and is a great asset to a top product.

Every thing about this laptop was great, the amount of memory, 4GB, the processor speed, dual core 2.0 GHz, 17 inch screen, and the 250 GB HDD. The unit is easy to work with having functionality placed in good reference locations, (not all on the back side of the laptops of the past).

Only item of dissapointment was the discharge time of the battery which was somethng like 1.5 to 2 hours.

As an IT specialist I take pride in the electronics that I purchase. I hold electronics that I purchase to very high standards. It should be no surprise that Toshiba has made another great product. This laptop has a great screen, great keyboard including a 10 key, and a great sound system. The video card allows for great gaming. As an IT specialist I would recommend this laptop to Wal-mart customers.

Three things to note before purchasing this laptop:
1-if you are a neat freak I would not recommend it, because it picks up finger prints easily but cleans up easily also.

2-Microsoft will be coming out with a new operating system this year. If you are a fan of Vista then by all means than go for it. If not then I would wait for Windows 7 to come out. Unknown what month it will come out yet.

3-The best price for this product is Wal-mart and walmart.com. You will not get this price any cheaper anywhere else.

Touchpad to sensitive.When move cursor goes to previous screen. I am haveing difficulty.Difficult to type as cursor moves and jumbles sentence Got a mouse and thet helps now need to get a keyboard

Received this product the end of April and so far has proven to be a great laptop. We plan to use this when away on trips, as it can serve as a mobile desktop, DVD player or can download software like Veeble and watch live TV. It is extremely quick, the screen is great, the sound is great, it is fast and it is nice having the full-size keyboard. Yes, it is a big laptop and a little weighty. But, we knew that and wanted the larger screen size. Well worth the investment.
