Sony Webbie HD MHS-CM1 Orange Camcorder with 2.5" LCD Screen, 20x Digital Zoom

I purchased this product on 8/29/2009. I took it with me on vacation(cruise ship) did ok. Tried to use it for a second occassion(a cookout) and it froze up and had to be reset. Got it working again.Worked great for a few weeks. Had a 8gb memory card in it and was still half full. Camera froze up. Very disappointed. Have not been able to record since.

This Product was worth the money. its cheap, small and compact, and the video quality rivals that of any five hundred dollar plus hd cam. the 20x digital zoom is amazing and very clear. the only problem with the cam is the fact that it doesn't have night vision. i highly recomend this cam to anyone on a budget that wants awsome video quality.

On the second day of use, the camera froze. It was my daughters' third birthday and we took her to Disneyland for the first time. I bought this camera for that reason and it froze as soon as we got there. It was on until the battery died. I would not recommend this camera to anybody! I returned back to Walmart!

We purchased this camera at local Walmart store, they just had an orange color which is not that pretty, but so far it did not matter for us. We wanted to evaluate if this camera is good and reliable enough to film an important event which will be held mostly indoors. Had to return it, b'coz it had both technical and quality issues.
First, we filmed our apartment indoors at a pretty low intensity light for 4-5mins, and the vid quality was HORRIBLE, all dark and grainy, not even possible to distinguish colors. Although it did fill the whole screen which was nice, but did not help. Zoom feature makes the picture blurry at low light, and you absolutely need a tripod to film indoors.
After that we made a short break and wanted to film a little more, but the camera did not work, although the green light was on, indicating it is making video. It would not respond to any buttons nothing, it just froze. What a huge dissapointment, we used this camera for 5 mins at most! We even were not able to turn it off, so just left it overnight and it powered down as the battery died. After we charged it again it seemed to be all right, but we packed it and returned immediately. Who wants a camera which can freeze in the middle of your important event!
To summarize, this is NOT the camera for indoor events. Plus it may have technical issues which we experienced with a brand new product. I DO NOT recommend it to anyone, except to maybe a kid who needs a camera to play around.

perfect little camera for young film makers such as myself. Only problem is, to edit HD you have to have a program that can edit in HD (iMovie on Macs should work. I'm not exactly sure. Sony Vegas works too). The software it comes with does not do much more than download and organize files. I have to convert them. No worries though, you can also convert straight to WMV with the program.

This camera dominates. The software for easy uploading is helpful and very easy to install. I like not having to turn a dial to get to whatever mode I want. It's very easy to carry in your pocket or whatever. The settings in the software allow you to set the camera to automatically set itself to be a webcam when you plug it in to your computer with a USB cable. The resolutuion is pretty nice. No complaints there. The frame rate is fast and gives you a really clear image even when you shake the camera. Shaking the camera shouldn't be much of a problem because it's extremely light and compact anyway. I shook it purposely to check the picture out and it didn't disappoint. Just buy this thing. It is definitely a sweet deal.
