I wanted this fan forever, after seeing it online, I finally got it then read the reviews, i was worred because of a couple of them, but I got it and had no trouble installing it, you basically put it all together and then hang it up, you dont to hold it up as you screw it in like the "old days"... i have 8 ft. ceilings, and it hangs down a good ft./ ft.1/2... its kinda low, but im 5'8 and the tallest in my family, and its perfect height.... but i would beware of tall households if ceilings are that short...and you have to use the rod, its not a flush mount.... but as long as you read the directions its a pc of cake...and looks awesome...and love the remote and remote holder for the wall.......peace.

fan SPEEDS DO NOT WORK and the fan produces NO BREEZE
the fan control has bars for the fan speed, but the fan shuts off if you try to turn it to the high speed ..so basically, you have low and med. and the fan produces NO BREEZE downward, and yes, i have the setting correct.
my handyman who installed said it is not for the novice, as he found it hard to install and he's done a hundred fan installs.

Review 3 for 52'' Titan Ceiling Fan, White
Good Value, Great Styling

Love the look of this fan, and it does a great job of cooling. The remote is a plus, as is the dimmer feature on the light. The overall quality is good.
One problem I did notice was that the rod did not want to hang perfectly centered from the housing opening. The fan itself is level with no vibration or out of balance blades, but I found the uneven gap noticeable, but I disguised it by putting self sticking round stickers daisy-fashioned around the gap, and it is not at all noticeable now.
I like the modern styling, as I am weary of the fans with the three bulbs in chimney shades that hang down so low. I have low ceilings, and this fan hangs about 3 inches higher than the one I replaced.
Good buy with free shipping to store.

Installation instructions could be better, but it works well. Good price, and a good value.
