This bed was easy to assemble and looks great in the bedroom. The drawers line up with each other and open and close appropriately. My only fear is that is 100% particle board and I'm afraid horse-playing (or a heavier person) could damage the bed.

This is for a teen's room, and I didn't want to spend a fortune; you get what you pay for. Easy assembly (equivalent to IKEA, but more plastic fittings), with a few unclear directions. Slides on the drawers are made of plastic; I will be surprised if they hold up over time. Drawers move easily, but have a little to much play in them and do not rest snugly when closed. I would not order from this manufacturer again.

I got my daughter a bed 02/18/2011 picked it up around 03/01/2011. This bed last for a year and that was all. I want to stress that my daughter takes very very very good care of her things especially her bed. This bed was poorly made. The screws that went in it started coming out and we had to scre them in every few moths, the drawers either didn't open or they got stuck. We kept screwing the screws in and about 2 weeks ago she could no longer sleep in because the screws wouldn't stay in and lil wooden peices came out. She stopped useing drawers months ago. I have taken pictures to prove what it did. I am very disappointed in this and I will not buy another bed from walmart. I got my son a dresser as well and the wooden peice at the very bottom broke in half now the drawer won't stay in place. I don't have extra money to keep buying new dresser/bed & I was hoping these would last. I spent quite a bit of money on these items & so they should have lasted longer. I would love to have refund but I'm not sure what policy is. I recommend finding out first if you plan purchasing items like this from walmart.

I viewed and purchased this product online. The thumbnail used in the list of beds showed just the bed. When I pulled up the item page, it showed it with a head board. For 159 I thought this was a fair deal. With out a head board I would not have paid more than 99 for it. It was the usual low quality item that I was used to getting at Walmart, but arrived without the headboard. I went to my local store and talked with them about this. I was told more or less sorry about your luck, you can return it. Yeah .... I had it 3/4 of the way assembled (2 1/2hrs), and had to have a bed as my son who was getting in that day. I put by trust in Walmart and once "again" have been let down. I will not be making the same mistake again. To the persons in charge of this corp. - I will not purchase another item from your stores. There is a Super Target with comparable prices better selection and better customer service. The 15K I have been spending at your stores each year may not matter to you in the long-run, but you keep it up and you may end up just like
K-mart.

Product was shipped right away and arrived in perfect condition. Although it recommends two adults to assemble, I was able to do it by myself in a matter of a couple hours. It is heavy, so one should be sure where it is going to be placed before assembly. The drawers work effortlessly on plastic runners, but even though plastic, the way they are mounted should give many years of trouble free use. Fits a standard twin mattress, which i had on hand from a broken bunk bed.

Packaging issues

It has a BIG issue on the packaging because it contains 2 piece of scrap wood on the sides to protect the furniture, making it seem that the actual furniture is broken. BUT it does not say that anywhere. So, I had to return the first time, I gave it the second shop to re-order and it was the same thing. Fortunately I was going to try to fix it because my son was disappointed. At the end I saw that there were scrap wood. I spend 5 months to get the 2nd one and a lot of stress but the product is ok for its fair price.

I ordered this bed for my 13 year old daughter, it arrived with broken pieces. After calling for a replacement, the second one arrived with broken pieces and several different colors. After calling a second time, I was told to return it to a Walmart near me because FedEx hasn't even come for the first one. I told the lady that I don't live near a Walmart, that is why I order online, she told me that was my only option.

I would not tell any of my friends or family to get this bed. When I picked it up at the store (site to store shipment) I noticed the box was damaged and ripped. When I was taking everything out there were broken pieces. I had to call the furniture company and get them shipped. The overall materials are not the best quality either. It took me a long time to put it all together as well. Overall, you get what you pay for I guess.

ordered bed for my 12 year old daughter.It arrived with one board broken in 2 places. Sent it back and reordered it. Once again it came broken.This time it was broken on two boards in to three pieces each.Wal-mart.com researched and found this to be a problem with several other orders.I was told not to reorder this bed!

I ordered two beds however I didn't even get to fully unpack either beds as they were both broken in the same places and I also noticed that the packing order had the right color but they ship the wrong one so I can't really comment. Just dissapointed.

I bought two of these for my sons, 9 and 12. I wanted them to match so I bought two. The first one took a little longer to put together but, with a bit of glue I think that they will withstand my sons. The second one took a lot less time to put together. They are quite heavy as packaged so, we opened up the boxes and carried pieces upstairs. We had a few broken pieces in our box, put it turned out that they were just for packing. The finish is a dark espresso color which looks great! I really like these beds and the price was fantastic!

The pieces look much better online. It was super easy to put together, I did it by myself. The only reasons I gave it a 3 rating is because the price is good and it's super easy to assemble. The finished product is cheap. The drawers do not close flush I think due to the fact that the sliding hardware is PLASTIC- I was NOT happy about that at all, quite disappointed actually. And the bottoms to the drawers are SUPER THIN!!!!!! I was in shock. I have never seen anything like this! I got this for my 8 year old girl so she could have "big girl furniture" (I got the dresser w/ mirror and the headboard as well) but these drawers will only hold light things like underpants, socks and maybe some tee shirts- they might be able to handle 2-3 pairs of her little kid jeans.... This WILL have to be replaced sooner than I hoped- how long can plastic hardware really last for sliding drawers in and out daily? Overall, a disappointment.

My teen loves his new bed and we had a good time putting it together. It is NOT real wood, it is cheap veneer particle board and most of the hardware is plastic. My furniture building dad would hate this bed and criticize every part of it, but for the price you can't beat it! I can decorate my son’s entire room for the price of a nice quality bed, but considering he will want something new when he goes off to college in a few years, this is perfect! As long as he doesn't jump on it, or open the drawers to fast, it should last. If you follow the picture only instructions step by step and not rush it is very easy to put together. I was a little worried when I opened the box and 2 long pieces were broken, but soon realized those were just the packing pieces. My son was thinking it was a little higher than the picture showed. The drawer pulls in the picture look like a shiny silver, but are a more brushed nickel finish.

Bought this for my daughter's first apartment - since space is at a premium- a twin was just the right size. So far so good! Took only a couple of hours to put together. Seems sturdy. Would have liked the drawers to have metal slides instead of plastic ones- and sturdier drawer bottoms - (these are like thin cardboard) For the money it was a good value. We will see how long it holds up.
