heavier than I expected

The reason I lowered the expectation rating is because the chipboard is heavier than I expected.
Different companies measure the weight of their chipboard differently.
I would call this heavy weight chipboard. It is much heavier than I expected but will suit my project well.
It is a good value because buying this weight of chipboard (if you can find it) individually in a store would be $1 - $2 a sheet.
This chipboard will be difficult to cut with a paper trimmer. I would suggest using a craft knife unless you happen to own a heavy duty trimmer.

Excellent for gala descriptions!

I make board descriptions for a local gala each year and up until I discovered this black board, usually had to put some sort of scrapbooking paper on top of it first. This saves me time and money as it comes all ready to have a description put on it. The board is sturdy enough to stand up on a stand so people can easily see it, but I can still cut through it with my paper cutter. Beware though, too many cuts on this and you'll need to sharpen your cutter. I hightly recommend this product and am glad it comes in black.

Sheets were nice & thick - much more than I'd expected. Great quality. Does a great job at what I needed it for. I use them to line with magnet sheet to store my craft dies. Just ordered more, trying white this time to use as a divider for die categories.

Difficult to find chipboard that is black even in the core. Usually you find black but the core is white or gray, but this was solid black through and through. Excellent weight. It was perfect for my box project. Loved it and the price was excellent at 50 cents a sheet.

The value was great ! The color what I was looking for . It was all good! The stores did not have the product though. I would have purchased more if it had been available in the stores but I will be ordering more. You need to advertise for us scrapbookers!! This is a mainstay for us!!

The black medium weight chipboard is great for mini book pages or any project where you need something a little more rigid. It is solid enough for book covers and if you like to ink all your edges it is much easier with the black color.
