Review 1 for BBQTEK Split Lid 51,000 BTU 3 Burner Gas Grill, Stainless Steel Look
AWESOME! Only took 28 years of marriage to get it!

This grill is awesome! We were fortunate to be able to purchase the grill totally assembled. We found it at our local store fully assembled for $275.00.
It was simply a charm to light. The infrared burner worked beautifully searing 2 inch filets. We seared them on high for 3 minutes on each side. We then moved them to the main burner for an additional 3 minutes on each side. They were cooked medium rare to medium and tasted totally awesome.
The grill cools down very quickly which made it easy to clean up the grates/grills as soon as we had finished eating dinner. Clean up was quick and easy!
Buy yours today. You won't regret it! I will never go back to the charcoal kettle grill!
I guess I only have one complaint... Why did I wait until my 28th year of marriage to insist that my husband take me out to buy a gas grill? I suppose the lesson here is that "with age comes wisdom"... evidently I am just a bit of a slower learner than others.

We have used this grill all summer long and it's the best grill we have ever owned. The steaks taste as good if not better than what you get going out to an expensive restaurant.
Don't look around any more......just buy it.

This grill is great! Everything I wanted in a grill! Although I am still wondering what the infrared burner is used for? I thought it was supposed to be for searing steaks, etc, but the main part of the grill heats up so good, you can do that on there. The assembly was easy, although I would suggest using a real Phillips screwdriver and not the one they supply you with. After getting the grill home, we were up and running in about an hour. Steaks, burgers, hot links, all turned out great! The top racks are good for warming buns and other things that don't need direct heat. Comparable to my in-laws grill, which they paid over $1000 for. A very good buy, in my opinion.

I found this grill at Walmart on clearance for 140.00. I purchased it and it took approx 30 minutes to assemble with only a screwdriver, which was supplied in the box. It works great. What a buy and the ceramic infared burner sears your meat in only minutes. If you can find any of these left on clearance, you found yourself a deal !

Great grill for the price!

First - I researched grills from head to toe online and checked them out in person at all of the major hardware and retail stores. The looks and features of this grill for the price are tough to beat.
Let's face it - a grill that has an infrared searing burner and costs around $300 is going to have some downfalls in terms of quality of materials used. However - overall - this is a great grill for the price and it's definitely a nice conversation piece when you have people over.
I picked this up at a local Walmart and was able to fit the entire box into my hatchback car. I assembled the grill by myself and it took me roughly 2 hrs - but I took my time to ensure everything was done right. The assembly was super easy and the instructions were spot on.
We broke this grill in to a crowd of 30+ people at our housewarming party and it lived up to our expectations and then some. The searing burner is a nice feature to have - especially with this price tag - though I haven't used it enough to comment on it's functionality.
So far, we made burgers, pork chops, sausage, and hot dogs on it and everything turned out great. Kabobs and steaks are next in line this weekend!
In terms of the quality of materials that I referenced earlier - sure...the entire grill isn't stainless steel and the metals used for the cabinet base aren't top quality, but you'll pay a few hundred more for a Kenmore that has the searing burner and the construction quality is the same. Believe me..I checked before taking the plunge on this grill.
Overall - we're completely satisfied with this grill. It cooks great, looks great, and has a very attractive price tag to match all of its features.

This is a nice grill. No problems with the metal and only took about 40 mins to put together (only 30 mins if you follow the pics). It is very sturdy and looks great. Have cooked twice (steaks) and they came out perfect and juicy using the searing side. Only takes about 3 mins total on high heat to cook a 3/4 in thick steak to medium. I highly reccomend this grill.

Review 8 for BBQTEK Split Lid 51,000 BTU 3 Burner Gas Grill, Stainless Steel Look
Had this grill since June 2009. After washing the outside for the first time, the finish came off in spots all over. Looks BAD. I used a mild soap to wash off grease and general dust, and came away with a grill that I would want to cover if company came into the back yard. The grill works great, and was fairly easy to set up and I keep it covered when not in use. Just a bad finish. Wish I had the money for a Weber....

This BBQ has been very good. I have only used it a couple of times, but I have been very impressed. It is a great value for the money. It heats up extremely well, I just wish the grates were more "non stick"

I love the grill aspect of this grill but the support of it leaves alot to be desired. If you want to move it, don't buy it. The side boxes are attached with 2 screws/bolts that the side boxes slide onto and are not very sturdy. I have tightened the screws many times. We have had the grill 2 months and yesterday we found the grill part on the ground because the supporting structure fell apart.

My local Walmart was putting bbq's on clearance. I waited a week and missed out on my first choice. Next week they were down to just 4 gas bbq's left. 3 very expensive (not on clearance) webers and this guy at $200. I asked to speak with a manager, walked out with it for $100 plus tax. Never hurts to ask. They wanted these guys gone. But- it was to big for my Pathfinder. I had to take off both side trays. It did have the scratches and scuffs that others have complained about. But for that price who cares. Like I said this was not my first choice. Got it home. Food stuck to the grill hard. Duh! I should have sprayed the grid first with non-stick. Second time using the grill, my wife was alone. She hated our last grill and was nervous about using this one. She loved it. Simple push button start. Easy temperature adjustment with the temp gauge on the cover. She made some wicked chicken. At his point we are both glad that we missed out on the 4 burner Brinkman. We both love this BBQ. Love the very wide shelves, dig on the pull out drawers. Really like not having the worthless side burner. And the infrared burner (which I thought at purchase was just a gimmick) is now my wife's favorite place to cook. There are better BBQ's out there. But lets face it, not at this price.

Was a bit skeptical when my wife suggested this...can't be to good at that price, turns out to be a great grill, good temperature control, the infrared is excellent for searing steaks, my friends love it. The assembly was a bit challenging and my doors aren't perfectly aligned...but for under $300 who cares. GREAT GRILL does the job, remember to get a grill cover, it will be worth it.

I bought this grill a few weeks ago.I read all the horror stories of the nicks, scratches, and bangs on the product.I had a few on mine, but that had no effect on how this grill performs!!They say,"you get what you pay for",well not in this case. You get MORE than what you pay for!All my food comes out moist and tender on this grill, unlike the one I had before.I never turn it on high when I cook,or warm up, always on low,and it's the best! This grill is ,"OFF THE HOOK"!!!! get one while you can!!!And for you steak lovers, the grill sear marks are awesome!

I must say, I was watching this product for a while. The reviews convinced me to get it and I couldn't be happier. I was fortunate to 'pick' the right box as even though the cardboard was splitting at the seams, I had no damaged parts. Assembly was simple, only needed help to lift the main part. Hosted a party of about 30, had no problem grilling burgers and chicken on the main; seared some ahi tuna and shrimp on the infrared side. Perfect grill so far!! With it's unique look, it even stirs some conversations up.

Very pleased with product quality/price. This grill is better than most $500 ones I've shopped. It's difficult to find a grill w/out the dreaded/unwanted side burner--and having the infared grill is a PLUS for searing steaks. It's a big grill for 2 people but I wanted a dependable appliance since I cook year-round and it gets cold here--I needed a beast! This is THE BEAST of grills. Super-easy to assemble--did most in the living room and finished the last step on the deck. Bought the Walmart super-size veranda cover and it was an great investment to protect "my grillfriend" My husband jokes that he has his motorcycle and I have my grill. Nuff said...

I can't comment on the grills cooking ability as I haven't got it put together yet!! I bought the grill in April 2009, the main cooking part was damaged. They sent me a replacement part,(it took 5 weeks)and it was damaged worst than the original. They sent me another, it also was damaged. The packing is not good, and I mentioned this to them. Still, it kept coming damaged. The outside of the box is never damaged, just the part inside. Totally unusable, all FOUR parts I that I have. For $324.00(tax included) I should have a usable grill. The summer is almost over, so use this review for you purchase for next spring. I am persistant and will have my grill for next year.
