This grill is stainless and the core of the grill is higher rated stainless 308, where the sides and tank cover on front are lower rated. This means the 308 top and front will not rust, although they may change color due to heat changes that occur rapidly.... like grilling at 475 and then pushing the grill out into a rainstorm. the side burner, side "plate holder", and front cover that cover the tank are not 308 stainless. It will show a rust color if you leave it outside, year round, for three or four years. The grill is 199 and provides excellent value, bang for buck. The grill grates are some of the best I've seen. The porcelain will come off if you scrape them clean (which I made this mistake also). When you want to clean the grill, turn the burners up to max and let the grill sit for around 10-12 minutes and then use a soft brass wire brush which is the same brush sold everywhere for grills with the goldish/ copper colored bristles. Any food or marinade left on this surface will cook to ash in the ten minutes and literally dust off with the brush. If you try to scrape the grill clean when its cold you'll scrape off the protective coating and then you'll need new grates soon. I've used a cover on mine even though it's stainless and shouldn't rust. My grill has zero rust, excellent grates, and overall condition is very close to new and I have used it once a week, 12 months a year, for 3 years

We have used this grill for about 1 year.
Having the ability to control heat on the 4 burners is great, Not having stones to combust fat is a bit of a problem with cleaning, but on the other hand flareups are greatly reduced.
We have used the side heater for frying etc but this is not so important to us.
My only real negative on the grill is that the spark igniter failed almost as soon as we started using the grill. This is a minor inconvenience, and expected since every other grill we have had, also had the spark ingnitor die fairly soon after putting the grill in operation. We have spark ignition on our kitchen grill, and I don't understand why these can't be made equally reliable on the outdoor grills.

I bought this product last summer although I do like the even cooking I think the overall workmanship could use some help, I say this because the small pieces that allow the propane to move from one burner to the next fell off

This grill is great. We bought this recently and I must admit it looks great on the back patio, fits in the area I have set up for it. It was easy to put together and didnt take but a couple hours. Cant wait to go and start grilling on it and have the neighbors over.

I bought this grill having high expectations.. I was let down.. the coating on the grills started to separate and break off which is not good because can go in your food.. it always has cooked unevenly and it just is not a good grill for the money.. I have had cheaper grills that lasted longer and cooked better.. Don't want to be a negative Ned but just stating the truth in the matter. Sorry would say not a good buy.

This grill is unbelievable - this is our second Brinkmann grill in 9 years and I'd highly recommend this grill. Excellent quality and does a wonderful job. Make sure you buy a nice grill cover, wipe the grill down and cover it after each use and you'll have it for years. Make sure you purchase a clip on grill light to go along with it!!!

A month after buying this product , rust spots appeared on the stainless steel areas.I phoned Brinkmann and they put my number in a cue but its 2 days later and they have not phoned back so what good is their customer relations dep`t. I should stay home for 3 or 4 days to take their call back.???Dont buy from these guys.

I got this product for my husband as a X-Mas present to replacec the one he had bought. I was a little nervouse, but once he got it together he loved it. It is very good size. And he says putting it together wasnt to bad. The fit and finish was a little harder, but once complete he LOVED it. I had read previous reviews that some lids had come dented, but ours was great! I would recommend this product! Great price!

When grill arrived I found that the grill lid was damaged. I called Brinkman Grill. Sent them thr invoice for purchase. New grill top arrived today. Very good service as in delivery time and replacement time. A+++++ service and product.

Rust Bucket --- Junk after 2 years,

I own an older model (Pro Series 2310)...soon will be at the curb and headed to its final resting place. The exterior of this grill still looks great, however the interior has completely disintegrated. Everything has complete fallen apart. I replaced the porcelin grill plates after the first year and they have rusted out again. Below is a list of the parts that have completely rusted and need to be replaced:
Porcelain enameled steel heat plates - $68 Burner rear support bracket - $29 Cast Iron cooking grids - $62 Cast Iron burners (3 of them) - $70 * That's a total of Two Hundred Twenty Nine dollars before shipping.
In other words - every part in the inside has rusted out. Needless to say, I won't be replacing the parts.
Don't buy it. It looks as nice as the rest of them and it's $200 less...you get what you pay for.

We received this grill as a gift and it arrived via UPS. All the parts were accounted for and we put it together with only a few frustrating moments. It looks great, cooks beautifully, and has the potential to do rotisserie cooking. We are happy with it!

After looking online we thought that this would be a great grill for the value. We have a Large family 7 children and counting so Its important that it would hold up as I do ALOT of cooking. We purchased this and arrived home to put it together only to find out that the leg was crushed so we could not put the base wheel on, and that the comonent kit ( screws/bolts ect) were missing. We went back to walmart ( mind you 45 min from our house) to have the employee in the garden center open up THREE sealed boxes ALL missing those important components. I have emailed Brinkmann and waiting for a response. Its Labor Day weekend....and NO GRILL for us !!!! VERY dissapointed!!!

I've had this for about 2 or so years and the grates are allready rusted over. Just about can cook on them. I have to lay tinfoil on it just so I dont get rust in my food.
Second off this grill has never cooked evenly, has hot spots all around it. Once you figure out where it's hot and where it's cold you can almost cook on it. By the time you learn where to cook on it the coating is allready chipping off though.
All in all if you are in the market for a new grill buy something else, by the way to replace the grates they are 60 bucks a piece!!!

Have had this grill for a week and have used it nearly every day. Took some getting used to since my old one was smaller. Heats up fast and cooks everything I've tossed on it well. I get 4-5 years or so on grills (keep them covered and cleaned) and I expect to have this one for some time. For the price it simply can't be beat. Those with cooking problems might need to see how they are going about it, I've had no problems at all. Everyone is amazed at the amount of grill for the money I spent.

I LOVE THIS GRILL... I won this grill at work and have used it several times. I like the fact which I didn't have on my previous grill that I can take the top of my grill off to wash it. Will use it year round even in the northeast.

The grill cooks unevenly. The grill porcelin wore off the first summer. Weak ingitor that doesn't always work. I have owed several better grills, I am waiting for this one to break so I can have an excuse to buy a better one. I WOULD NOT BUY THIS GRILL. This unit was alright the first couple of times I used it and it went downhill after that.
