Targus 'Shield' Backpack for 17'' Laptops, Red

This bag was much bigger than I expected, but that's a good thing since I prefer to have everything in one bag. It holds my 17" laptop nicely and securely with plenty of room for my school books, laptop assessories, pens, pencils, keys, everything!

I love this bag. It's so convenient and comfy to carry. It's even better from Walmart since it was about $60 cheaper then buying it from the actual retailer!!

I was a little nervous buying a laptop bag online without checking it out in person. This backpack went beyond expectation. I can fill it with what I need and still have room! It is comfortable to wear and very handy. I love it!

This bag is great it has plenty of space for all my stuff. I really like the holder, and access slot for my Ipod. this bag has so many features, I can't cover them all. I will say I'm glad I bought this bag.

This bag is GREAT!!!! Very comfortable and an enormous amount of storage. You can pack your 17" laptop and its accessories along with things for a weekend get away (or in my case things for kids). Bought my mom a Targus briefcase type bag for her laptop last year and is still in great shape. Bought the backpack style because I need both my hands for kids. I highly recommend any Targus brand bag. You will definitely get your money's worth with Targus. I wish they would have had a couple more color selections to choose from, like purple but oh well.

This Back Pack is made real nice with padding on your back. The computer inside is protected and a ton of room to put things in. Best Back pack Ive ever had..

This is an awesome product! My son actually wants one for himself for school. It is lightweight but sturdy and has lots of room. I purchased a 16-17" laptop and there is more than ample room and padding for protection of the laptop. It is also kind of neat because it doesn't look like the typical computer bag and so nobody can tell you have a laptop in it if you use outside the home. I have a bad back and this makes carrying a laptop seem like carrying a feather.

Really usable, durable bag. Enough storage for all your gear; including wireless mouse, external hard drive, power adapter and a couple of days of clothes. Well made and functional. Plenty of adjustment for straps and compartments.

This is a great product. I currently haul my laptop to and from work. Come fall I will be attending school and needed something that would have enough room to be compatible for both. I have a 15.4" Laptop but decided bigger was better (smart move as it turns out). This thing has plenty of space, my laptop is well protected, and items are easlily organized. The two side water bottle compartments are a great compliment. I also happen to be a motorcycle rider and no matter what I load into the bag the well-padded shoulder straps and back layer keep me very comfortable. I"m also please to say I used "site to store" shipping and was thrilled. You do have to be a little patient, but eventually I recieved an e-mail confirmation (which I printed out), went down to my local Walmart and was in and out in minutes.

A couple of criticisms would be:

1. This item wasn't available in any stores within 100miles of where I live, so on-line ordering was the only thing available
2. The wait! I placed the order, and knew ahead of time how long it would take to ship. It did ship withing the time frame offered, but seemed like it was forever waiting for my purchase to arrive.
3. They have some extra "hip" straps on the bottom of the bag. To be honest I left them wrapped up the way they were shipped so they stay out of my way. They seem kind of useless, and if they ever to get in the way, I plan to cut them off.
4. It seems very well built, but I havne't had it long enough to know how durable it is. However reviews on other sites (CNET, TigerDirect) had it rated good as well.

Other than that, great item by Targus, good price by Walmart, and I couldn't be more please with something that I use daily!
