Honeywell HEPAClean Tower Air Purifier with UV Germ Reduction & CZ Odor Control

The Good. This air purifier does seem to filter the air. It is also fairly quiet if used at one of the first 4 settings. That's the good. The not so good. The purifier itself has an Offensive odor. The purified air coming from it smells like cheap plastic. The charcoal filter did not change this odor. In fact nothing changed the odor of the purified air. The unit also emits a certain degree of heat. They probably all do but I thought this should be mentioned. Other reviewers mentioned that the unit would not turn back on if the back was taken off and then put back on. This happened to me when I installed the charcoal filter. The charcoal filter is slightly too thick for the unit and makes it darn near impossible to fasten the back on correctly resulting in a nonfunctional purifier. Finally, each funtion on top lights up if it is in use. During the day this is not noticable. However at night in a bedroom it is very annoying. If you like a dark bedroom you will hate this. Bottom line though, the one thing that is propelling me to return this item is its smell. So if you want clean air that smells clean this is not the unit for you.

I do recommend this product. However, I was very disappointed that the filter enclosed for odors has to be reordered every three months at a cost of $24.95. I felt the manufacturer should have explained that with the information about the product. The hepa filter does not have to be replaced. It is stated on the box and included with the explanation about the product that there are two filters and it misleads the consumer to believe their both standard. I ordered two so, it will be expensive to use.

I cannot endure the life of infection throughout the years in tucson. This product makes the room clean and favorable, now I am rebuilt up just let this machine run for one hour in my room. And I also find out the source of infection was mostly coming from the tree over the window.

I have been struggling with health problems for the last two years, and this year allergies has made it to my list. I cleaned my house top to bottom and bought this purifier. It has helped with reducing dust and I can breathe again!

This is the second one we have bought. We have one in our kids room...but wanted one for our room. We love it!

I plugged it in the moment I got it. I have moderate to severe Asthma. Within 8 hours I noticed a dramatic difference in the ability to breath. I could breath!! I'll never be without an air purifier again!!
