i cannot rate the durability of this product yet since i just got it about a month ago. But most of my household appliances are panasonic and some of them are fairly old and all of them are still working like it should. This is one of the major reasons I bought this product because of panasonic's durability reputation.

This is an excellent cooker. This price is right and the ability to make large quantities is right. It saves me a lot of worry when cooking for a large family when I don't have to worry about the rice burning or being in need of stirring. It also leaves me with an extra burner on the stove to cook something else and it keeps the rice warm until we need it.
