I purchased this bed to put in my little girls room and put toys in the drawers to keep things neat and tidy. I was amazed at how easily it went together and how strong it was once it was together. I almost couldn't put it closer to the wall by myself it was so heavy and I was sure I had bought it in another color (espresso). Regardless it is neutral and strong, has a lot of storage for a small child's things. For the price and quality I am more than satisfied.

The Bed is excellent for my 8 year old. It was fairly simple to put together, but I am not greatly impressed by the quality of the materials, however, for the price it is a great bed. It works well for my 8 year old, and is sturdy enough for a couple of 8 years olds to NOT play on the bed! :-)

I love this bed. I bought it for myself because me and my daughter share a room and between us we had so many clothes and her toys that there just wasn't enough room for it all! There wasn't many reviews on it at the time I purchased it but the ones that were there were great, so I took a chance, and I'm glad I did! I've had it for a couple months now and no complaints at all! The drawers open just fine for me (and are still tough enough for my 2 year old to open, which is good for me so I'm not cleaning up clothes every day!). If you need a storage bed I'd highly recommend this one!

There is one serious flaw, the strength of the top board is very low so that when you sit in the middle the defomation is quite large. the side will move up for 2 cm.
But I still feels good because I am completely satisfyed with the other stuff. I will contact manufacture to fix this problem

I bought this bed for my twelve year old son. It is very heavy in its package-takes two people to get it in the house. Oveall pretty easy to put together with two people. My only complaint is that the drawers are on plastic slides instead of metal rollers so they don't glide easily. Nice bed for the money. And yes the picture makes it look brownish/black but it is black.

I bought this bed for my teenage daughter to use as her bed and "dresser". The bed is decent looking and functional, but the drawers FALL APART! I bought it in February. It is July and two of 6 (we have 2 beds) are completely nonfuctional and the others are on the brink. I would only recommend this bed if you don't plan on actually using the drawers!

This product was better than what I expected. It was very easy to put together and nice looking. I bought this for my 5 year old and he loves it. It went wonderfully with the matching bookcase headboard. I was looking for a desk to match . . . .the black office in a box matched great. Great piece of furniture for the price. It looks brown in the picture but it is black. Only drawback, the drawers are a little stiff (maybe after use they will loosen up)

Descent Bed with Storage,

I purchased this for two reasons... 1) because it was black & would match the rest of the furniture --and-- 2) because it had 3 drawers for extra storage (which is great if you have a small room).
-->The bed arrived much faster than originally estimated (site to store) & was in about a 6 foot long box that was extremely compact at only about 4" inches in thickness.
*DO NOT BUY A BOXSPRING FOR THIS BED...it utilizes what used to be referred to as a "posture board" to hold the mattress. Bascially, this is a piece of particle board that the mattress lays on top of.
OVERALL.... I was pleasantly suprised with the bed. It sat VERY low to the floor even with my pillow top twin mattress on top of it (about 25 inches from floor to top of mattress).
Finding a quality twin bed to fit my tight spacing proved nearly impossible! And with this bed I was thrilled to have the extra storage (drawers)!
The only thing I was a bit disappointed in (as with most furniture products today) is that it was made of mostly particle board, but being extra cautious I reinforced it with pine slats and a piece of plywood.
My FUTURE time saving Quick suggestion (past experience with a captains/mate bed: if you have kids that like to "camp" on their bed playing vid games with their buds I'd recommend reinforcing it Under the posture board...in addition to placing a sheet of plywood UNDER the posture board for additional support.

I bought this for my two year old son. It seems to be made well and he loves it. It is very attractive and clean looking. The only down sides are the drawers are very tight when you try to open and close them but I expect they will get easier with time. We also could not use the toddler bar we purchased so that he does not fall out of bed because there is a lip around the bed and the bar will not fold down. We have had the bed for about a month and he has not fallen out so it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Got this bed site-to-store for my 9 yr old son. Came really fast and easy to put together (it took 2 of us about 30 min). The pic makes it look brown but it is really black. Very sturdy... held my father's weight and he is a big guy ; ) ! The only down side is that the drawrs aren't on wheels... its a piece of plastic that is supposed to glide on a groove in the board, but it is a little difficult to slide open and shut. Hopefully it will get easier the more they are used. Overall an excellent buy... my son was super excited when he saw it!

My only real complaint is the fact that some of the unfinished wood shows from the top of the platform where the matress does not fit the perfect square corners of the bed (rounded edges to a matress) I guess I will have to paint it to give it a cleaner look. Other than that, the bed is decent - does not take up much space at all and is very functional and sturdy. No brain surgery involved in putting it together either!

I ordered this bed because everyone had alot of positive to say about it. After picking it up and putting it together, they were right. I am 7 months pregnant and my 12 year old son and I put it together in 2 1/2 hours for my 9 year old (who chose not to help). When I first took it out the box I thought it would take all night with all the boards and screw that were requred, but it didn't. It is definitely a sturdy bed and I know it will last until my son leave my home (for college). I do not recommend you moving it to another room or house for that matter. Overall the bed was worth the money and my lazy 9 year old love it, lol.
Oh and all part were there and the boards were in perfect condition.

I had read other reviews and was glad that they noted the true color is black - which is what I wanted. Easy assembly, two persons - took less than one hour.
