Ignition Entertainment Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Wii)

Muramasa: The Demon Blade is a beautifully rendered retelling of the classic Japanese folk tale. Muramasa: The Demon Blade is a fast and intuitive action combat game which features two playable characters; Kisuke, a young ninja and Momohime, a princess, both of whom take different paths through the game. There are over 100 swords to collect and level up which improve power, speed and durability and both characters are capable of dramatic special moves. The timeless side-scrolling 2D gameplay has virtual 3D backgrounds featuring the vivid and lush artwork of traditional Japanese culture which enhance the user experience far beyond expectation. The game combines gorgeous integration of ancient folklore, traditional Japanese imagery and modern relentless action.

Review 1 for Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Wii)

Muramasa is an awesome game for the Wii, especially if you're tired of seeing all those party games and just want one really great RPG.
The artwork is beautiful, vibrate colors, and background music is just great to sit back and listen too.
You have two different characters to chose from, and you can choose either to continue playing as Momohime or change to Kisuke the next time you turn on the Wii.
The developers have learned from their past mistake of eatting food in order to level up like in Odin Sphere and have actually made it to where you gained EXP. In order to forge weapons you do have to eat food in order to gain Spirit, but in the process you see the food slowly being eatten away while your character says something cute about the food.
This game is was the turning point for me about the Wii. The only other games I have is Twilight Princess and No More Heroes and this game is the one that definately got me to change my mind about selling my Wii.
If you liked Odin Sphere, you'll love Muramasa.
