South Shore South Shore Two-Door Cabinet, Royal Cherry Finish
The South Shore Traditional Jefferson Cherry Two Door Floor Cabinet is a traditional piece of furniture that lets you organize your things fairly easily. With shelves that can be adjusted, this storage cabinet gives you the freedom to adjust them based on the items you want to place. The two deep rectangular storage compartments and four smaller square shaped compartments provide enough storage space. This wooden storage cabinet can be used for storing anything, including clothes, blankets, office supplies, small appliances, or even be used as an additional pantry space. It comes with a set of instructions for assembling it and is easy to assemble.

It is exactly what is is advertised as. Pressed board material with a laminated cover. All the parts wre there. Most of the assembly is straight forward, but during the process the cabinet has to be turned over and the instructions don't say to do so. I had to remove a couple of pieces and put it back together. Just look at the pieces and put it together with common sense and not specifically follow the instructions. Once I did this it went together as expected. It is heavy, solid and functional. It looks pretty good also. The spacing of the shelves is highly adjustable. I would buy it again.

Absolutely beautiful piece of furniture in our home office. We chose the royal cherry finish, and couldn't be more pleased. It took my husband awhile to assemble, he even had to stop and read the instructions a few times, but the finished product was worth the time and effort.

Several of the reviews below made me nervous that I would receive a damage package containing a flimsy cabinet that would be horrendous to assemble and worthless to keep. I am happy to report that my package arrived in pristine condition, and I was able to single-highhandedly assemble the unit in 1 hour and 15 minutes. It was no more difficult that one's typical ready-to-assemble furniture. An added plus is its finish. This unit was chosen to match the decor in a corporate space, and it does so wonderfully. I am looking forward to many years of use from this piece.

One of the sides was shipped without any of the holes drilled. I have been unable to assemble it. I am waiting on a replacement panel. That panel should have never left the factory. It is unacceptable!

The "positive" reviews of this product baffle me and I wish I wouldn't have based my decision off of a "88%" positive rating. Obviously the negative ones are not being calculated with the rest. First of all, yes, it showed up damaged as others warned. Box was torn and ripped open and there were gashes and chunks missing from the wood pieces, not simply just scratches. You should also know you cannot contact Walmart for returns or replacement parts (I knew this upon ordering) - however, when you contact Wayfair, they direct you to South Shore directly. I've yet to have this issue resolved and my husband and I will not be ordering from Walmart.com again if an outside company is involved in the shipping and/or returns.

We ordered this item and when it arrived at our house the box was damaged as well as the cabinet. We sent it back only to get a new one today, which also was damaged when we opened the box. I made due and put it together anyway.

Perfect size for a pantry

I was very pleased with this cabinet. I have built many furniture pieces, but this is my first by South Shore. I found the directions complete and concise. The parts were easy-to-fit and there were no missing pieces. This is a heavy piece of furniture, and was not easy to get into the house. I got a strong man and a dolly to handle that. Once in, I had no problem putting it together by myself except for hanging the doors. That required an extra pair of hands. (I should note that I am a 58 year old woman in average shape)
The cabinet is simple, but attractive. The shelves are sturdy and hold all my canned goods and baking products easily. It has plenty of space and fits in with my decor nicely.

I almost left it at the store after seeing the condition of the box and unfortunately I didn't. It's all banged up and came without instructions to put it together. The lack of instructions seems to b e a recurring problem for Southshore as they have a link for them. It took 3 days and multiple emails to get them.
My daughter went to open the unlocked door and the handle broke off in her hand, piece of junk for $190. Really wish i can return it.

I was a bit overwhelmed at first by the instructions but once I got started it only took me 2 hrs to complete. I did all the assembly myself and I'm a small woman. I am impressed by the look of it and the weight! For this price (and I shopped around for over a month!) this is the best buy around. I can put everything I need to into this pantry. I love it. It not only looks great but it's heavy and won't tip over! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the top facade wasn't glued on properly and I had to glue it. There were some small scratches (be careful when assembling because it's not real wood and scratches easy) but I took care of it with the neat pen they supply. Over all I'm recommending this to anyone who needs a great looking pantry.

This is a good purchase for the money. I like how deep it is, I also like the appearance, I bought it to compliment a more expensive set of cherrywood office furniture and while it is obviously not identical, nor the same quality, it fits in well with it. It holds quite a bit of office materials, and the proof of my satisfaction is that I have just ordered another one for my office.
The only down-side for me is the fact that while it was packaged well with protective cardboard and filling...it still came with several nicks in it. I suspect from the manufacturing process, not the shipping.

arrived and was as described except for the fact that rough handling by delivery company caused dent and dings all over one side and the top overall quality is good and it meets requirements i had for it heavy items can not be placed on top shelf because it will bow i found out overall for inexpensive storage solution it is a good buy with that being said to recommend to a friend i would note the shortcomings and advantages of it for storage and let them decide on their own

Cabinet Great - Shipping Painful...

I have no problems with the cabinet itself. Looks nice and is easy to put together. As other reviewers have said, the cabinet does scratch easy, but the included marker covers up blemishes really well.
The main difficulty I had was with the Ship to Store. The first time I ordered it, the box arrived with a large chunk on the side that damaged many of the panels. I did not notice this until after I got home, so I had to haul it back to WalMart to return it. I checked the second cabinet more carefully at WalMart and the packaging looked OK. However, after unpacking it at home, it too had a panel that had a corner damaged. Thankfully, it was the bottom backside corner - so I glued the broken piece back on and it is not noticeable. If this was on the front, I would have had to return this one as well.
So in summary, good product, but be prepared for shipping hassles.

This cabinet looks good but the material is realy tacky, it came a little chipped, and then proceeded to get scratched and beat up when one followed standard instructions of assembly. When we finally got it up and I loaded it up with a few light things, I noticed that one of the dowels at the bottom had slipped and the wood had sheared irreparably. I have no choice now so will live with it until I run it to the ground.

I ordered this for a food pantry in a mobile home. My husband and I put it together in about 1 1/2 hours. The instructions are not very detailed and you have to figure some things out on your own. It seems heavy duty and held most of what I wanted to put inside. It came with a few dings but we were not that picky. I am expecting a baby in about 4 weeks and needed to open up some cabinet space. Good buy for the money. We will see how well it holds up.

Great Pantry for Extra Storage!

My husband and I live in a two bedroom townhouse with a smaller kitchen, thus, limited cabinet space. We wanted a nice look pantry that could sit in our dining room right off of the kitchen for extra storage of dry and canned goods and snacks. This fit the bill perfectly! I was surprised at how truly nice it looks and just how much room it has. We left the locking mechanism off, because if it's on you have to open the doors in a certain order and we didn't anticipate the need to lock it.
It did take quite a bit of time to put together, and it's definitely a two person jobs. The directions weren't the greatest, so we found ourselves having to switch a few pieces around at the last minute, which was a bit frustrating. However, once we got it all together, it seemed quite sturdy.

I ordered two of these. They took a little over an hour each to put together. Better quality than I expected... and I have tried other brands that are really bad for about the same price.
I just wish these were a little taller or had some sort of pedestal (drawers??) to go under them. I have 8 foot ceilings.
All of my sewing stuff fits in these fine. I love the deeper shelves!!!

Received product today from Walmart.com and when I opened the box I found several damaged parts. Looks like these parts were inserted into the box knowing they were damaged. Spoke to the manufacture they will send new parts out but will need to wait another 10 days for parts to arrive. Manufacture need to do better quality control job when putting these kits together, or Walmart needs to do spot inspections on there product they are selling.
