The reason I marked this as "not recommended for a friend" is due to the full-frontal nudity in the second episode. Be careful of recommending this to family and friends unless you know their limits very well.
All that being said, the stories really are insightful, in the vein of Star Trek meeting Family Guy. It doesn't shy away from adult situations like most other sci-fi, but it definitely deals with heavy issues in a balanced and deeply cutting manner, surprising me repeatedly.
I highly recommend it to any sci-fi fan of age who is okay with thinking after an episode.

One of my favorite series. It wasnt a few years ago a season cost double that.
