I kept my expectations low based on other reviews, but this bed in a bag is just right for my 14 year old son. The fabrics are soft and, while the comforter did have an odd smell, I aired it out outside on a sunny afternoon and the smell is gone. I love the combination of blues and so does my son.

So I figured this would be a good set due to the reviews...and I'm not generally a picky person, nor am I the type to complain on reviews just because a product isn't perfect. However, this is going right back where it came from.
First, the chemical odor upon getting it out of the bag was horrendous. SO strong. So I washed it...and after washing, I could still smell it in the sheets. Oh well, I put it on the boys new bed, because its all we had since we got them full bunks to replace twin beds. The sheets were so thin you could see through them, and left fuzz in the dryer. (Fuzz in sheets?)
I washed the comforters and dried one, put it on the bed, and put the other in the dryer. Oh my word, I looked down and my hands are BLUE. So I thought maybe it was just the wet comforters. Nope. I went up and rubbed the side of my face several times across a dark blue stripe, and now the side of my face is a very pale blue tint. WOW. Um okay....the boys are sleeping on these tonight because we have no choice, but these are going back to the store TOMORROW. I realize cheap bed sets are going to be thin sheets and all, but I do NOT expect them to be made of nothing but dyes and chemicals.
Sometimes you get LESS than you pay for. Look up the history behind the word "shoddy" as it has to do with Civil War uniforms...and that's what I think of when I look at my blue hands and smell this bedding.

This is the third purchase of Ombre bed in a bag I have made in two weeks. The first one I ordered the wrong size for the bed in my new condo. The second I bought in a Peoria store; it had a king size sheet set in the queen package. The third was Walmart.com again. It arrived and is the right size, fits very well. I love the colors. I'm very surprised how wrinkled the bed spread and shams are. Not what I would expect in an unopened package.

As I stated, not what I expected, the color of blue was bright almost royal, and when it arrived it was actually denim in color. After washing it with extra Downy the feel is worth keeping for a few months.

I liked it to start. But it is a guys bed set.... After 3 years I thought the comforter would be worn enough to cuddle around me. I doesn't..... It is comfortable. And I have enjoyed it. But it is a little stiff still. The comforter stay's together well, meaning it doesn't bunch with the material.... It stays in place and I like that. I just wish I'd bought better colors for me. That's my only real issue...
