i bought this product about a week after christmas, and so far its working pretty good, it dosen't overheat that easily. I watched like 6 moveis on it and it was still cold!, but the only flaw on this product is the price!, its 50 dollars!, i think thats too much for a DVD player! But i still say to get this product, it works pretty good

This was a reasonably priced DVD player. It is slimline so takes up less room than my old one, priced right, and it plays well. We like it.

We have two of these players and they both appear rock solid altho quite a few other reviewers think otherwise. For the money, I really don't think anyone can get hurt. If it goes to pot, either take it back to Wal-Mart or junk it and buy something else. Our older player is a good year + old and it is a real workhorse, gets used every day and then some. So far, it has been great ! Use your menu to fine tune things for better picture quality.

I like the player. I was really surprised with how fast it sped through the loading time. You know whenever you are watching a dvd and it stops momentarily to load the next scene. It just skipped right by it like it never happened. I like it.

This is my third Sony DVD player ... not because they're worn out, I'm just older now and have more rooms! It's a Sony .. and worth every cent. Just buy it .. You won't be sorry!

I've had this DVD player for a little under a year now. It was good at first, but now when I try to play any DVD movies, the colors are way off...I must say that all the people have a greenish tint to their skin, and the blue is so way off! DON"T BUY THIS!

I bought this dvd player because of the price and because it is a Sony. I'm very unhappy with it. It will no longer play dvds. Had it cleaned and still won't work. Only had it for 4 months. Just going to buy a blueray player next.

In the product specification section for this product here at walmart.com says this model plays NTSC and PAL. I tried and it won't. I tried region free disks as well. same result. The manual also specifies that it wont play PAL video. Please take off "PAL" from the specifications in this website. Other than that this model is good.

I had difficulty in connecting the DVD, but I paid a visit to Walmart with my remote controls and instruction books and talked to a man in the electronics department, and he showed me in five minutes how to get it connected. I went home, followed his instructions, and we were able to view movies in short order. Picture is great, and I recommend it to everyone. A great value for the price!
