Garmin Nuvi 265T 3.5" Screen GPS With Spoken Street Names, Bluetooth and Lifetime Traffic

I found the buying process, through Walmart.com, an easy and fast way of selecting what I wanted; the Garmin Nuvi 265T.
What I didn't enjoy was the week long wait, watching it, through the tracking facility, crawl from the midwest to the SE. Boy, that was slow!
The enforced wait was worth it though. The unit fired up straight away, in my car, parked in Walmart's parking lot. It grabbed satellites and within seconds was ready to work. Much fun playing with the options and customising it, the touch screen being sensitive and accurate. The only thing that was not clear, was how to enable the NavTeq lifetime traffic facility. Garmin's excellent web support told me there was no need to do anything, as the unit has the FM receiver in the power cord and will usually pick up any broadcasts after a few minutes of the unit being powered up (you'll know when it has acquired Traffic, by the icon in the top left corner, two cars side by side)
I love the TTS (text to speech) option, as often you need to know exactly which left or right to take, and the spoken confirmation really helps. I have downloaded the (free) map updates, but the two gig size really gave the Wi-Fi a workout, so be aware and make sure you are on a fast network.
The handsfree is awesome, the way the Garmin talks to my BlackBerry, showing phone book, call log etc, all via Bluetooth, is really cool. I can use the Garmin when at home, as a handsfree unit, which it does well. All in all, this has been one of the best purchases I have made for a long time. The long delay in delivery has made me wary of buying from Wally World again, but the product has more than made up for that, as did W.W's price.
Garmin really has done their sums on this one and I look forward to doing some road trips now I don't have to try and read written directions at 70mph!

This Garmin Nuvi 265T works very well. I bought it to replace a Nuvi 350 that I had from work and had hoped it would work as well as the 350. It works better. It also post the speed limits on a little speed sign to let you know the posted speed limits. The reception works well even on the dash or center console. I briefly messed with the blue tooth but have not mastered it yet. I would recommend this GPS.

I bought the NuVI 265T after doing alot of research.
It works really well. It's also small enough to fit in my purse. My husband has the street pilot 550C and the nuvi 265T is better than his. Finds the sattelites quickly. If you're thinking get it it's a good buy.

Great value for all the features. Bluetooth works nice but can only sync with 1 phone at a time. Traffic receiver is a bonus...works just fine.
Easy to use after the initial set-up (downloading the current maps - make sure you do so within 60 days of purchase, and registering the product)

I went to visit a cousin in Wis. Garmin got me through Chicago without any problems or getting lost. I can now plan trips with ease.

I was getting tired of the TomTom 130, so I bought the Nuvi 265T Garmin. Garmin 265T can pick up satellite pretty much instantly while the TomTom takes a while to find a satellite. Another feature I like is that it shows the elevation, and thats really usefull while driving in the Mountains, and want to know how high you are. Plus I like that this GPS will tell you if there is traffic jam or whatever happens in the area you are in at the time of the accident or traffic jam or whatever. I still would like to see this feature work, but I haven't come across any traffic jams or whatever the GPS detects. Anyways I love Garmin.

Although we have a GPS in one of our cars, we travel often and need one to get around in unfamiliar cities. This GPS was used immediately on a business trip and proved very helpful.

Now I have only had this since Friday night.

So I live in Greenville NC which I figured the traffic FM transmitter wouldn't work but it did, then again there wasn't traffic so it didn't show, but it worked. I was shocked that my phone calls are actually more clear with the blue tooth connection than me talking on my cell phone. People said I sould more clear and louder. It was pretty easy to customize it, it connected directly to my phone. When I looked at contacts, there were all there. I used it to go to my mom and dads which is a town of 400 and it found their house perfectly. I didn't see where it saved or lost me any time. It did bring me home a different way, but I had driven that way many times.

The thing I like the most about it is the blue tooth on it. I hate to drive and talk at the same time, in fact alot of times, I would not even answer because I didn't feel like holding the phone and avoiding gville traffic.

I didn't want to spend 200 on a GPS because i didn't think I needed one, but I have wasted more money in gas in Raleigh because of missing my exit or turning on inner instead of outer beltline.

Like the previous 2 Garmin Nuvi's I've owned, this one is great and better than other brands out there. Easy to use, small, and no antenna this time around. Traffic feature is especially useful.
