I bought my Garmin for a trip to Puerto Rico. I could not have made my way to so many venues on the island without it. Although this is my first true GPS product (I've used my cell phone in the past for navigation), the Garmin provided nice features such as parking spot location, Bluetooth connectivity (for cell phone usage), and was small and light enough to take with me. I also like the ability to use FM for audio output. Walmart services were right on with their one day delivery...I am very satisfied with my choice.

Have used for a month and love it! does everything advertised and more! only problem just happened today when returning from 8 hr vacation trip. the device auto-updated and now is dead in the water, this is a known firmware bug that has left many users dead in the water this week. Assuming they fix this, and I don't have to pay anything, then all should be back to normal. but will wait and see!

This GPS is great so far. I'm taking it up on road trip this coming weekend to Lake George. I had my Garmin Street Pilot C550 for 2 years now and it started locking up and getting me lost. So I got this one for this trip so I can send the Pilot back to get waranteed. So far it's been right on with everywhere I’ve gone.
I really like the feature that tells you what lane to be in so far it kept me from missing a couple of quick turns on off ramps.
I wish the MSN traffic would cover closer to my home. But when I was out for a Sunday drive down the shore to South Jersey It was right on every time with everything. Just like my other GPS though for some reason sometimes it wants to take you through cities and towns I personally don't want to go through cause it takes me twice as long as it would if I took the highways or you end up in places where your surroundings don't seem to safe to be in. I love the blue tooth feature.
I especially love it that I can get it through the radio. I just wish it had a jack to hook up my external microphone cause my dash and windshield are too far away from the driver’s seat in my 2006 GTO so I got the external Mic for the street pilot to fix the problem which I cannot fix with this one cause it doesn't have a spot to plug it in.
I like the feature that enables you to put in coordinates to go to if u wanted to go hiking to a spot also. Hence Tri-pod rock here in town.
I also love it that once you disconnect it from the dock in the car it sets I spot in your favorites to bring you back to your car.

This has been an excellent purchase to date and has met all my expectations. I love the MSN direct which allows me to send all my routes to the GPS from my computer without having to manually enter all the info using the units small keypad. The screen is big enough for even older eyes to see without difficulty. The extra features and ease of removing the unit make it my best GPS yet.

Used only 10 days, and have put it to the test. Put in addresses and points of interest in local areas as well as other states and the Garmin has brought those sites up easily. Like the different ways of seeing the area as either regular map or as terrain the mph is shown for the area you are in as well as the speed you are driving. There is a lot more to it but have not used to is full potentail yet. Still have more options to load such as MSN direct for traffic, weather, news etc. will do that soon. Will use it this summer on our many road trips and not worry about loosing our way or not being able to find the nearest gas station, motel or resturant, feel more secure on traveling the back roads in this beautiful USA. Walmart had the best price on this Garmin 785T which had all the options that we wanted.

I recently upgraded my Garmin Nuvi 350 to the brand new 785T (T for live traffic updates). Recently I was driving in an unfamiliar area of northern New Jersey. The traffic was fast moving and the drivers were very aggressive. My Nuvi 350 told me to turn right. I thought I followed its instructions correctly, however it was the incorrect turn. That set me on a highway, which was difficult to exit and I lost a lot of time and fuel. I decided to upgrade to a Nuvi “7x5T series, which would announce the street name, show “lane assist”, the appearance of the highway sign and live traffic reports. I am thrilled with my new Garmin 785T (the top of the line in the 7x5T series). Wal-Mart online had a special price, which was lower than the lesser models. The Garmin Nuvi 350, which was my first unit, has a screen size of 3.5 inches. The Garmin Nuvi 785T has a screen size of 4.3 inches, which is a significant improvement. The new unit picks up the signal much faster and at a lower level. It is also very fast in reorienting the map as you make a turn. The map automatically zooms in and out as needed to show the most important details, especially as you approach an important intersection or turn. The unit shows the posted speed limit for the road you are traveling, along with your current speed. It continuously calculates and updates your expected time of arrival. It clearly announces the street name, which is a big help, since frequently in the East there may not be a street sign. The lane assist is very well implement and the relevant roads are clearly displayed. The unit will display the actual appearance of the road signs on major highways, which is a big help in deciding which lane to be in to make the correct exit. The technology is a significant leap forward compared to the Garmin Nuvi 350. I am very glad that I went ahead and made the upgrade. I consider it a significant safety feature and well worth the investment.
