HAVE NOT USED IT YET. WILL BE MAKING CHOW CHOW RELISH. I WAS USING A POT LIKE THIS, ONE WITHOUT THE RACK AND NOT AS LARGE AND THAT ONE WORKED PERFECTLY SO SHOULD THIS ONE SINCE IT IS FOR CANNING.

The quality of the pot is fine my issue with it is that the rack doesn't have spacers in it to keep the jars seperated. It worked but I found it a bit of a bother to have to wrap the jars with cloth to prevent them from breaking if they contacted each other either while processing or when removing the rack.

Bought one at the store..found out it was dented, took it back...bought another at another store, went to use it...when we removed the rack it was also dented. When we returned the second one there were none left at the store. Ordered one online NO DENTS...it was easy:)

The canner works great for pint jars, but is just a bit too short to get as much water over the tops of quart jars as we like. We do use it for quarts though, it just sometimes boils the water out because you have to fill the canner so close to the top. Seems to be well built and sturdy though.

I like the rack inside that you can lift the jars out with. Also light weight and holds lots of bottles for canning. I don't like that the bottom of the pan is rippled. I have a flat top stove and it doesn't work on it. I can only can with it on my camp chief.

This canner is as nice as one I bought in the 1970's and actually cost less! Hopefully it will last me as long as the old one did. Have canned with it 3 times and good results each time. Granite Ware always cleans very nicely and this is no exception. It's ok by me.

I was looking online and expecting to spend 40+ plus shipping. Glad I checked Walmart before ordering. My store had 1 left and I grabbed that baby and ran. Its worked great so far. Canned Peaches, Pears and some Pickles. Hands down a great buy.

While this is an excellent canner, the rack that comes with it is not as durable as I expected. The rack is metal (i presume it's metal) covered with a plastic material. After a few uses, the plastic is beginning to melt away leaving only the metal which will eventually rust.
