I've had this exact model for my 3 year old since she was born. I bought this for my 1 year old within the past month and it already sounds like its going to break. The features are great but not for almost $60.

We shopped around quite a bit before we decided on this mobile. I was a little hesitant to pay this much for a mobile but my husband talked me into getting it anyway. My baby is 4 months now and she has used it every night since she was born. We just recently had to change the batteries. I was surprised that they lasted three months with so much use. My daughter loves watching the animals. The bear is her favorite and we catch her having 20 minute babble conversations with him. Lol This makes bed time so much easier. Assembly was easy and it fits nicely on the crib. I like being able to take the animals off of the mobile when we want to play with them too. I would buy this mobile all over again. Very happy with it.

Just Now Having Problems- 2 Years Later

I bought this when my son was 6 weeks old to use in the crib at my mothers house to use whenever we were over & my son needed to sleep. We moved cross country when my son was 18 months & the movers lost the mobile I was using at my house. My mother mailed me the mobile base because by this time my son was too old for the top part.
We got my son a toddler bed once we got moved in & this fit perfectly on the side, although it can be hard to snap sometimes. My son loves that he can turn it on & change what's playing all by himself- without getting out of bed. He is now 2 1/2 and we are going through 4 D's a month & that mobile still plays. Tonight the sound started sounding really distorted on the music (which is his favorite!) & he's not ready to give it up. He has language and overall development delays that place him developmentally at 18 months.
I am going to get him another mobile, same thing exact for him to use until it either breaks in 2+ years or he finally doesn't use it to sooth himself. If you are on the fence deciding on a mobile, this one is great!!!!

It truly is a very nice mobile because it has a remote control! I can just click it right back on from the comfort of my own bed if my daughter woke up in the middle of the night, and she would watch the show and fall right back to sleep. She's now almost 3 years old and she continutes to enjoy the "ceiling" show. I will probably continue to let her use it until she gets bored of it, which I suspect will be for another few more years. I just need to find a way to tether the device to the wall. :-) She loves to identify each animal that she sees in the projection. It is like a night light for her, which is perfect because she sleeps better in the VERY DARK, so she can watch the projection until she falls asleep, then it will just automatically shut off after so many minutes. The battery life is VERY wonderful, it lasts a VERY long time! I would most definitely recommend it to a friend. I would even consider it as a wonderful Baby Shower gift!! Go ahead and buy it, I guarantee you, you won't regret it!! :)

We have used this for our son since he was about 3 months old. He's 3 years now! He was never a child who could be rocked to sleep, but he still got upset when we layed him down alone until we got this. We have literally used it every night and every naptime for almost 3 years now, and its still going strong. We started out with it mounted to the wall using just the projection, which it is not made to do but if you take the plastic piece with crib strap off it works well. We had him in a pack n' play in our very small apartment bedroom so that was the only way to use it. When we moved he got a crib and we used the crib strap and mobile part until he got too old for the mobile at which point we converted it back to projector only. He is now in a toddler bed and this is strapped to the rails on that because he won't go without it.
This projector honestly saved our sleep for years. He'd wake up in the middle of the night and turn it on himself without ever crying for one of us. The remote was great for when he was little too.
It does go through a lot of batteries, about every 2-3 weeks if you use it constantly like we do. It takes 4D's which could get expenssive. I highly recommend buying the Energizer rechargeable D's with the charger, that's what we've been using since we got it and have saved a ton on batteries. We have 2 sets too so when it dies, which we never figure out until bedtime of course, we can just quickly change the batteries with the already charged set and then charge the others for the next time. The battery charger has been great for other baby products too as it can charge all sizes.
It's a great product and now that I'm pregnant again we are buying a second for our new child since our oldest is still using his. I really can't believe how well it's held up.

The only negative is it kills battery especially if u forget to switch it to off mode. It's very durable I bought it for my 1st born who is now 25 months n now using it with my 3 month old daughter. Its been putting her right to sleep. No rocking needed it. Love it!!

Our daughter is 9 months old now, she has used this since she was about 5 months old. She absolutely loves it! I cannot even stress how much of a life saver this has been! We had an extremely hard time getting her to sleep in her crib at night, and this was the answer. We lay her under this, and she is just mesmerized by the lights and rotating animals. She watches it for several minutes and then falls soundly to sleep each night. I highly, highly recommend this mobile!!!

I never wrote review before but I have to write this one. My daughter loves it! We play this for her every day, right after she wakes up, during the day and before she falls for whole night sleep. She watches and laughs for 30 mins straight, sometimes even one hour. Now I can't imagine the nursery without it! It is beyond my expectation and I would recommend this to all new moms.

I was actually looking for a glowworm or something like that whan i sawstopped this inweek the store. It wasout more than I'd wanted to pay, but I was verging on desperate. The first time we set this up, our baby was enthralled. That didn't last long, however, when he was a few weeks old. As another reviewer mentioned, baby tends to appreciate this more as he gets older. Love the timer, love how it turns off in stages. We've moved around alot this summer, and this has been a reassuring constant for baby, now almost 6 months old. Lost the remote, but the unit itself has held up to the moves and the not so gentle packing and rough treatment. Its still holding up great.

this product is very cute, and i am glad that we will still be able to use it even after we have to take the mobile itself off. i like that it will be able to project the images. currently, i feel that the hanging animals get in the way just a little bit. the sounds could be a TAD bit louder also, but overall my son enjoys it. :)

We bought this item yesterday, and it was so easy to put together! I didn't even have to read the instructions. I only had to look at the pictures on the booklet. (four D batteries or the large ones to operate.) It reflects animal images on to the top of umbrella, it has to sets of volumes with different sounds and music. It also comes with a remote that you can can press from a different room and it would start playing. My baby loves it! She always wakes up crying to food, so I left her underneath it and I heard no cries while making her food, she also for the first time fell asleep, right now as I type alone in her bed. She never fell asleep on her own, always while feeding. The minor scratch does not bother me because it works fantastic! I think it has a sensor that when the baby's asleep it stops on its own but Im not sure. What I do know, is that after 20 minutes it stops on its own. I SOO recommend this, this could be a great gift too. Great job fisher price

My daughter loves this! She is mesmerized by the bright, moving colors! The heartbeat sound setting on it soothes her to sleep every night. Also the remote is the most amazing thing! You just click and it starts up again without you having to go into the room and risk waking the baby. Worth every penny!

We bought this mobile to help our 3 month old transition from co-sleeping with us to sleeping in her crib in her own room. She immediately loved the mobile and it has helped tremendously in helping her self-soothe and fall asleep. I love that it will grow with her since the mobile part is removable and you can leave the sound/projection part on. I also love that it gradually turns off so that it isn't an abrupt change when it turns off. The remote is nice to have as well since she takes longer than the 20 or so min to fall asleep on her own sometimes. I just wish you could use the remote to switch between sounds and lights, etc. I guess I would have to pay much more for a mobile with a remote to do that!
