Great tasting energy bar.

If evaluated for what it is - an energy bar - this measures up to my expectations. I carry this in my bag for emergency energy when I'm traveling or otherwise unable to get regular food. The flavor and texture are very satisfying and it doesn't leave a metallic aftertaste as some bars do. The texture is not too dense or overly crunchy - just the right balance. It should be noted that this bar is recommended for moderate activity and probably wouldn't be sufficient to get a runner through a marathon! My only caveat is: Don't get too hooked on this one because this flavor (Layered Caramel Peanut Fusion) sells our quickly. When I can find it in stock, it sells out in a few days.

I've tried a number of different protein/fitness bars. Some have more noticeable effects than others; some taste better than others. This bar is an excellent mid-workout energy booster and protein supplement. I particular like to use it on my "long" days, when I ride 60-90 minutes on the stationary bike and do 2-3 rounds of circuit training. It helps give me stamina to get through such a taxing workout.
