This is a nice CD to own if you don't want to bother with switching out Roy's Soul of Rock and Roll box set in your car. With this CD, you have all the major hits on one, happy, and rockin' album. Be careful though, I have seen this posted on some websites for a lot of money, because people are saying it's imported. Believe me, they are all the same. Buy it from somewhere you trust! It's a great CD!

I bought the larger Box Set first, and then saw a great story about Roy in a magazine and learned about this CD, so I bought this too. My mother listens to this more than me, so I passed it along to her. The best part about owning both though, is that I feel like I am keeping Roy's music alive by continuing to purchase his material. Roy Orbison was such a priceless gem to Music.

It took me awhile to find this CD, it seems stores are selling out. But I finally found one and I must say that Roy Orbison seems to be making a comeback because I'm hearing about him everywhere. This little CD is a great one to own and I can't help it but sing along to each song, because they are all the greatest hits. I love this CD.

"Ooby Dooby" is my favorite song and I'll never forget the first time I heard it in Star Trek: First Contact. It was a kind of music I had never heard before, and I became a fan ever since. I like this 'best of' CD because it holds all my favorite classics and brings back the feelings I had from the first time Roy hit my ears. This cd can be bought at a great price too!

Although this cd is a cut off of the Soul of Rock and Roll box set, do not underestimate it. All of the hits are on this one. Here is my short and sweet review for this album- regardless of if you have the box set or not, this is a necessary addition to any music lover's collection. Same look and feel as the set, just a little smaller.

I bought this “best of” for my husband, and let me tell you that it didn’t leave his cd player for weeks (and counting)!! It features all the great Roy Orbison songs, and includes some greats that we didn’t even know existed. My favorite song (track 17 on the cd), is (All I Can Do Is) Dream You sounds awesome, especially since it was live. I’m very glad I picked this one up!

How can you go wrong with this great sample of the entire box set? It's much cheaper than the whole set, yet it still comes with all the great songs! For fans that are not as into Orbison as I am, this is a perfect remedy. Take a listen to this, and soon you'll be singing all the great Roy songs everywhere you go. Roy Orbison was one of the greatest singers of his era, and with a lot of the junk on radio today, it's good to go back and listen to some real rock and roll roots....

Roy Orbison today doesn’t seem as famous as Johnny Cash or Elvis, but what he had was different than both of them, an incredible voice that was respected by all. If you can’t afford the full box set, or aren’t sure if you’ll like it, try this sample, and your mind will quickly change, and soon you’ll be swimming in Roy Orbison music….

It is an easy thing to purchase this instead of the box set, or vice versa. This is something I feel people should know. The BEST of soul of rock and roll is exactly that...the BEST OF the box set, "Soul of Rock and Roll". THis is only one disk, as the set has four. Both items are very worth owning! But I just wanted to warn people so that they do not get something they thought was something else. Roy Orbison is the best!
