We bought this to replace another brand that died. The picture is gorgeous, great screen size and it is working wonderfully. We use it almost daily for my toddler to watch her educational videos. Battery life seems just fine. It does have a bit of a "whiring" sound when you first start it, but not enough to bother me (or anyone else in my family). I note it only because other reviewers have mentioned it unfavorably. I would have loved it if it were a bit cheaper, but all in, I'm very pleased with my purchase and can definitely recommend.

i wasnt sure about this product when i saw it on line, but i went ahead and purchased the dvd player anyways. but when i got the dvd player, i was VERY PLEASED!!! the sound is great, the picture was clear. couldn't asked for a better deal and product!!! :)

I order this DVD player for my Daughter to enjoy while we go camping in just a few weeks. I got it earlier than I expected which was awesome, but when I put a DVD in, it kept reading "no disc". I tried 3 movies, and a JPEG disc. All said "no disc." I returned it, which was very easy to exchange for the exact same DVD player. I just pray that I get it in time for our camping trip!!! I was very disappointed that it didn't work since I was pressed for time on getting my DVD player. I just hope my next one isn't damaged. I'll keep you informed.

This is by far the best portable DVD player I have found - even better than models that cost twice as much. It doesn't have many extra features (e.g., no memory card or USB), and it is several years old (2004), but it does the basics very well: huge 10.2" display that is clear and has good contrast, simple controls, good audio output, and the all-important (to me, anyway) auto memory resume feature that restarts the movie in exactly the spot you left it in when you hit stop or closed the case. Battery life is good (~2 hours), but nothing special. Does not have a swivel hinge for the display, but I prefer that - it feels rock solid instead of cheap / flimsy.

This DVD is beutiful if you keep it plugged up. The battery time on it is 1 1/2 hours. I do not recommend it if you want to take it with you. The picture is beautiful, the sound is loud but the battery time is lousy.

I bought this for my 2 little kids. I have it plugged into the wall the entire time and my 2 kids just love to watch dora and diego. I like the both the audio and visual on this dvd player. I haven't used it on battery. It came with the power cord included. I am considering buying a second one for each kid to have one.

The LCD screen doesn't work, even though the audio from the DVD can be heard. Tried the troubleshooting from the manual but that didn't help. Will exchange this unit for another and give it one more shot.

I bought a Magnavox for my husband last year and it died within the year. So i decided to get him another one. I compared all of them and this one was the best price. When we got it home and opened it the screen was so much bigger and nicer. It also has a lot of functions and the volume is louder then i was expecting. We use it everyday and our kids love it as much as we do. I would definitey recommend it.

This is all that it says that it is.. Just don't try to purchase an add on.. The battery pack will last for one average movie.. If you would like to purchase an addional battery pack, it will cost $105.00 plus shipping and taxes....

So far after two (2) road-trips my son has used the DVD player with no problem. Awesome picture, great sound - no complaints this early on anyway. Only frustrating thing is how to hook up the playstation without being an electronic guru. Need a special cord that I haven't been able to find yet. Don't let the earlier reviews fool you, it isn't the standard red/yellow/white just plug-in deal.

Very good portable DVD player. The only problem I have is that I have to use the remote to access some of the functions. Otherwise sound is very good, and screen quality is excellent. I haven't use the battery yet, so no comment on that, it has been working off of the DC adapter.
