I love my new laptop! The icons are easy to see and the views online are great. I'm still getting use to sliding objects around with only my finger, but loving it!

i have not had this product for even a month and the WIFI switch has already gone out i have to send it in to toshiba to get it fixed... the only good thing about this product is the warranty and the simple fact i cant contact my friends and family that are deployed and serving this country as my fiance is....

For the price of this computer you cant go wrong it is nice and fast has about everything you could want in a laptop. Everybody that has tried this laptop just cant believe the price and where i found it they say it should be twice the price.

I'm a teacher and part-time student, and I needed a laptop. I bought this one thanks to a relative's recommendation, and I just love it, love it, love it. It's a darn fine piece of machinery. Toshiba did a great job not filling it to the brim with useless offers or stupid programs, it's a breeze to customize exactly how you want, and it does what I want it to do when I want it to. What more can you ask? So far, I haven't a single complaint, about Toshiba OR even Windows Vista!

You should be aware that the PC slot or "Express" slot is not compatible with internet cards if you wish to get one from one of the phone coompanies. There is no place in the data that came with the computer or on their online website to tell you this. Neither will the so-called tech support assist in this.
Perhaps the USB internet connector will work, but the other internet cards that phone companies provide won't work. Found this out the hard way!

This one replaces an earlier version of this same computer that I had for 3 yrs, I ruined its keyboard and then the cord attached to the power brick wore out no doubt from me dragging it all over constantly. I had only minor problem with that one and this one does already have a problem, the volume dial seems to be unconnected. It just freely turns and turns (but the volume does increase/decrease. I'll contact Toshiba about that. Other than that, I love the computer, but I hate Vista! This system moved so slowly at first, it was unbearable. Dial up is all there is here and I know I can't get much speed, but this was downright unbearable. Was thinking I would have to replace it with one I could use Windows-XP in. But after much research and much "tweaking", I've got the speed up to about where Win-XP is on my old one and at times, I'd even say, It JUMPS! It took many days work to get to this point though. After reading all about Vista, it's a wonder this OS works at all, it was so shoddily put together. Now that it is sort of humming along, though, I have to say I'm very happy with the whole deal, especially the price. Haven't tried the face recognition yet, nor the DVD stuff, nor the web camera. But one main reason I would only buy Toshiba is because of the experience I had with them about the last laptop. They were extremely helpful and easily contacted, 24 hrs/day and that means everything to me. A company has to stand by their product, not just grab your cash and leave you stranded or charge you by the minute for even listening to you explain the defect! At least I have the expectation that if I do discover defects, they will be taken care of at no expense to me. That is very important. I would surely recommend this deal to anyone looking for a real reliable workhorse of a basic computer at a very good price. I mean, who ever thought just a few short years ago that we would be buying laptops with all these features, some with huge, huge hard drives and memory, etc., at the prices we see today? I'd say "GO FOR IT!"

This is a really good laptop for the price you pay. A couple things though, it was kinda slow about a week after I got it. Also, the screen just randomly wouldn't turn on. The computer was on, just the screen wasn't. I had to take the battery out and put it back in again and it worked fine. But that obviously shouldn't happen. Otherwise, things are great.

I was skeptical about purchasing this laptop at a such a low price. However, so far it has proven to be one of the best buys I ever made! It's perfect for school, play and small businesses.

Always remove the trialware, then get the right driver for the DVD or it won't work. The WiFi is very good, finding free sites everywhere. Plenty of memory and drive space. Not so good display but good enough for 720p when used with a TV video card. Webcam and microphone work well with MSN but not Yahoo Messenger. DVD drive is biggest selling point for me since it supports DVD-RAM.
