I had been sleeping on a 4 inch memory foam pad on top of my regular mattress I bought from Walmart. That was very comfortable and soft. I never slept better. I thought 8 inches of memory foam would be even better. Wrong. This mattress is like sleeping on a brick. It is not uncomfortable once you sink in and I was able to sleep ok, but it just feels very strange to sleep on. Nothing at all like the mattress pad. I will be returning it.

Just as reviews I read before purchase... It did smell funny (chemical) for several days. Still has very faint smell after 2 weeks. It did "plump" up to full size within a day or so, maybe not quite 8", but close. Was very firm first few days. It took a couple of days to get used to different feel/firmness, but it's great. The first two or three days it took a while to get to sleep, but once asleep, I slept better than I have in years. No waking up with back pains, limbs that had "fallen asleep", etc. Very good value for money.

I purchased two of these mattresses for use in a twin bed and a bottom bunk, and couldn't be happier! They are incredibly comfortable and my kids say that they sleep so good on these mattresses. I must say that Wal Mart has exceeded my expectations for quality/value! Would definetly recommend.

After opening the boxes and getting it out of the bag, we placed the Theratouch Memory Foam Mattress on top of our old air mattress. By the time we ready to go to bed the foam mattress was the full 8 inches. We removed the old mattress and slept on the new one. WOW! What a differance! The the new foam mattress is so comfy, I can't feel when my husband gets up at 2:00am to go to work anymore. No more rise and fall every time he moves. Great sleep!!

This mattress was everything it was supposed to be and more. We bought it depending on the reviews of others and were more than pleased with the product. It "plumped" up to its full 8" in record time and is now the most comfortable mattress in our house. We purchased it for our 10 year old and placed it on a platform (bottom bunk bed) as a temporary solution until we could find the twin mattress we wanted. We have since decided that this mattress is here to stay. You won't be disappointed with this purchase, especially for the economical price.

I purchased this bed for my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter. When my son opened the package it expanded like crazy and didn't have much of a chemical odor as anticipated. They aired it out for several days as recommended before she slept on it and it has been sweet dreams from the beginning. I would highly recommend this bed.

After searching for several months for a good mattress and comparing feel, as well as, price. I finally found what I needed in my life. After reading the reviews, I took a risk and purchased a mattress online. The price was great, recession sales are wonderful. I thoroughly enjoy the comfort, I sleep like a baby. Getting out the bed is hard to do. I would recommend this product, especially if you are monitoring your budget.

The only thing I can find so far with this bed is that the first night I was able to sleep on it I slept for 10 hours straight through. Normally I would wake up every hour or so tossing and turning. I honestly have a hard time getting out of bed some mornings simply because I am more comfortable and feel better when I wake than I have for quite some time. I guess that's a GOOD thing.

I have been looking for a memory foam mattress to go on top of my fairly new mattress and box springs that was not comfortable. I have had wonderful nights of sleep since I received this item. It has a memory foam topping over foam and fits exactly to my queen size bed. No more pains. I sleep on my side or stomach and my old mattress was very stiff and hard on my hips and side. this is well made, extremely comfortable and the price was excellent. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to make their current bedding more comfortable. Give it a a try!!!

I rated it overall as a 4 only because its a little too firm when side sleeping, a pillowtop cover would do the trick I am sure. Great... no AMAZING for back sleeping and good for tummy as well. Finally found a mattress both me and my husband like!
We use on a steel smartbase and it works great, I love not needing a boxspring.

The mattress was delivered promptly and was easy to handle. It is delivered tightly rolled up in a box that can get through small spaces if necessary. It has a firm feel to it but your body sinks in just enough to be comfortable. Very good for back problems that require firmness with comfort. My wife has not complained about her back hurting every morning since we replaced our $800 spring mattress which was beginning to sag. For $150 you cannot beat its value!

We bought it about a month ago. It is very nice. As a couple of students, who are leaving in Capitol Region and are on tight budget, this mattress was a perfect match. We bought it together with Smart Base Steel Bed Frame.
It arrives a week later with FedEX in a secure package without any damage. It takes the mattress a couple of hours to expand. It is almost firm and really comfortable. Since it has been vacuumed in the package, the height is not perfectly 8", but it is not 6" too.
The very good thing is that, we used to sleep on a coiled mattress, and every morning the sheet was completely out of its place, while it stays very neat on memory foam.
We are satisfied with it so far, and would recommend it. It's worth the money you pay.

I ordered the twin size memory foam mattress (8 inches thick) online and had the mattress delivered to a nearby Wal-Mart store. Process was easy and convenient especially since the mattress was a Christmas gift for our 13-year old son. He had wanted a memory foam mattress since we purchased a queen size from Wal-Mart. He liked his mattress so much that he spent a couple of hours lying on it Christmas morning playing video games. How perfect is that!
