Prepaid cards have changed as far as the value use to be. These 2000 minute cards are only actually 666 minutes after you consider calling long distance within my own same state cost 3 minutes for each minute I actually talk. If I call out of country a minute is actually a minute-Dont make much sense to me. These cards are almost no more for me once I get digital phones. Until then-these work well.

2 1/2 Cents per minute is a great price. Learn how to program the shortcuts!! Like: 1-800-nnn-nnnnPAUSEPAUSE#PAUSE# Phone is coded 1-nnn-nnn-nnnn# Your phone may or may not need a couple of pauses. The pound sign (#) stops the ATT messages cold!!! (Note - the dash (-) in the example is not really in the numbers.) This card is only used for out of state calls.

I would not recommend the phone card. While traveling to St. Maarten's in July I was unable to use my phone card while on the island. I was highly disappointed want a full refund without going through a lot of hassle. So, if you are planning on buying this card do not waste your money.

I would think that one AT&T card is just as good as another AT&T card. Apparently not. I recently bought the 600 minute card for $15 and got 24 minutes to where I was calling. this is about 63 cents a minute (better than most cards). I thought if I bought the 2000 minute card I would get at least 80 minutes from the card, if not more. But I only get 55 minutes. At this price, that's about 1.10 cents a minute. This was a worse deal than I thought. It's better for me to get 3 $15 cards and have my talk time interruptted than to have an uninterrupted 55 minutes.

I expected to have to pay extra to call inside Alaska, but upon receiving the card, found it is not good for calls within Alaska for any extra amount. As I recall, the info said it would cost an extra 5 cents a minute for calls within Alaska, which I was willing to pay, but the Ak calls were denied with no valid explanation. I will use the card for calls outside Alaska, but that was not the intent when I purchased 2000 minutes!

Be careful of the fine print- if you request Pin-Less dialing when you make your first call you will be charged an admininstrative fee. True it is a feature provided without initial charge to the original cost of the card, but when you use the feature you will be charged "minutes". It is not stated what the cost is in the product description. It may be on every call that is made Pin-Less.

Be careful before buying this card; the rates are great from state to state and the voice quality is very good. The down side is the in-state calls which in my case were 5 times more expensive. ATT&T uses words in their write up like may be higher; except for a few states the rates are extremely higher and a bad value, the worst being X8 the state to state charges.

Please read the fine print on product page for this AT&T 2000 minute prepaid long distance. This card is an excellent value for six states only. For the state of California: NO. Card is billed at 1 minute of talk time equalling 3 minutes charged to card. Until this inequity is remedied, I would not purchase the card again.

I had a phone card for years with a low rate that was easy to use. Then it got lost - somewhere in the house, but not to be found. I hunted for a card that had a low rate and the same bells and whistles as the card I had before, such as being able to add time at the same low rate, no PIN dialing from home, etc. This card has it all and was very easy to set up the first time. It also tells you prior to each call how much time is left. It is exactly what I wanted and you can also add minutes when you are at a WalMart. Nice extra feature.

I encourage my wife to use this card for in state regional phone calls. Verizon is charging us 19 cents per minute (plus taxes, surcharges and fees) for such regional calls. Using this card costs us less than 7 cents per minute.
For non-regional domestic calls, the 2 cents per minute (plus sales tax & shipping) is the least expensive rate that I know of.
For International phone calls to London and Paris, it uses 4 units of card time for each minute of talk time.

This can be a good buy, as long as you plan to use it for "state-to-state" calling. If not, pay particular attention to the "in-state rates may be higher" comment. In my case, the in-staqte rate is 3 times the price per minute. At those rates, this card is not a good value. I bought this card because my 3 kids are in college, and I wanted an inexpensive way to keep in touch. One child is in-state, two are in other states. More bad news -- since all of their cell phone number were purchased and set up "in state", calling them even when they are out of state still results in the higher in-state rates. We'll probably go back to using Skype. It's not always as convenient, but then again, Skype has great quality and is free for computer to computer calls.
