This is a great tool for expert and beginner instrument players. This thing packs so much into a small package, and for the price, it cant be beat. This thing comes ready for use right out of the box, no programming or any of that. Make sure for the tuning option, you turn your instrument volume about half way up/down so not to put out too much and to get an accurate tuning. Also you may want to adjust the mhz setting when tuning to get the same effect. Overall if your looking for a metronome and a tuner...look no more.

I was really looking for an electronic metronome so that my daughter would be able to tune her instrament with more ease. This is the best tool if you are self tuning your instrament. She had it down packed after only 30 minutes. Now I can enjoy her practice much more with a well tuned instrument. She doesn't have to wait on me to help her tune and she doesn't have to practice without fine tuning, which makes a world of difference with a string instrument. Thanks to the Korg TM-40 for saving a few extra minutes in every day for my family, allowing us more time for enjoyment of the music, and with nice crisp tones.
