I have a 10 year old Lassie Collie and she LOVES this food. She was so picky before I found it several years ago. Well, now I can not find it in any of the 3 Wal-Mart Stores in WF. I sure wish they would help the manufacture get this product going again. They are loosing money without it. My poor dog does not like the other brands near as well and I really want her to have what she likes in the Golden Years of her life!

My dogs love this product. But it is getting harder and harder to find in the Walmart stores.

My dogs are fussy eaters and this is the only hard food they will eat without adding anything to it.

I would highly recommend this product - good luck finding it at your loc al Walmart store!!

My dog is 9 years old. I have been feeding him this dog food for the last 8 years. A year ago, I could not get this food at Walmart, so I bought a purina product. My dog has always ranged 19-21lbs. He blew up to 35lbs and counting after the first bag of purina. He got sick, lethargic, I took him to the vet. He was still gaining weight. The dog has another condition, so the vet didn't seem concerned about the food. The summer came and he was on his second bag of purina. He was still gaining weight, now 41lbs. I thought he was going to die in July. He looked bad. It was like he had aged 5 or 6 years in 3 months. When you looked in his eyes, it was like they were vacant.The vet still felt it was his condition. Then in September, I found the Maxximun Nutrition dog food at Walmart again. I bought it. My dog slowly started to get better. He started loosing weight, acting playful and active again. He started playing with his soccor ball again and the look in his eyes has returned. He is now down to 28lbs. He is happy and active. That's after 2 bags. I went to Walmart today to get another bag of dog food. They didn't have any. They have stopped carrying it again. I went to 2 stores. I don't want to have to look for another brand. This dog food was the best. My dog did so well on it. The price was a plus, but I would have bought it anyway. They should sell it online. I am hoping to find it marketed under another name. I hope the manufacturer hasn't stopped making it.

excelent product,all my dogs have ever eaten. they have shinny coats and are very active and heathy. The store does not carrie this product anymore, and i wish they would make it available online.

There is no corn in this product and if you know anything about dogs you know that the corn is not good for them and is just there as a filler. The price is great for a product that is the best for my dog and he likes it too. We couldn't find it for a while I guess because it had been sold out, and we thought it might have been discontinued. We almost panicked! We are so glad that we don't have to try to find another dog food.

I've been buying Maxximum for somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 years, maybe more. When I first found Maxximum, I was raising 2 Irish Wolfhound puppies (both female) and was looking for the best dog food I could find regardless of the cost. I read the Maxximum Lamb and Rice label and started feeding it. With 2 Wolfhounds to feed, the price was a bonus! Even though the Wolfhounds have passed on, I still have a large breed dog - a Dane mix - that I feed Maxximum Lamb and Rice.
I still periodically check out the ingredients in probably every brand of dog food on the market and have never found anything as good as this dog food is. Needless to say, I've never fed anything else to any of my dogs.
I've had vets tell me that I should be feeding "large breed" food, but they are always surprised (and impressed) when I bring in the ingredient label for their approval, then produce the Maxximum bag and tell them it's a WalMart exclusive. My dogs are always in excellent health and I always get comments on how great they look. This is simply the BEST dog food around, bar none!
