I LOVE this Mac and Cheese. I use to only eat Kraft, but my sister made this for me once, and I'm hooked! It's so cheesy and rich, and the noodles are thick, and are actually elbow macaroni noodles, not some straight ones. It is the same cooking directions as the original Kraft. I can't believe Great Value beat the name brand! Good job and keep it up! There is so much in a box, I can't eat it all! DELICIOUS! This is great as a side. I like putting peas or broccoli in it too! Me and my sister share a love for Great Value's yummy Mac and Cheese. (If you like organic Mac and Cheese, I suggest Annie's or Back To Nature also found at most Wallmarts!)

I prefer to make this version with Smart Balance butter and water. I have made it for over 10 kids and they all say that it is the best as I think it is as well. You can make it extra cheesy with one slice of cheese per box.

I won't buy another brand since I found this one. It really is thick and creamy. And there is enough in one box to feed four adults that adore max and cheese! Just a tip I f I happen to get it too runny because I don't always measure I use eye method, I throw in some shredded cheese and that will fix it and it even adds to the delightful flavor. We can end up with extra sharp cheddar or 4 cheese Italian or even a little Mexican flair depending on what I have at the time. It doesn't change it that much, for all the die hards get the velveta shreds, will fix it right up.

I love Wally's Thick n Creamy Macaroni n Cheese for the 2 of us. Better than Kraft brand, plus I like the curve shaped Macaroni pasta. Using a bigger 5qt stainless pot instead of the 3 qt I was using made a BIG difference - no boiling over - the dry cheese sauce blended in well. Boiled the Mac pasta with a little sea salt in water - no splash of oil as I used to do, learned it keeps pasta from absorbing sauce.
1/2 box serving prepared with milk & butter (1.5+ cups with FAT Mac) = 600 calories - Cost = 70 cents per serving.
WALLY BOX OF MAC N CHEESE with 1/2 cup 2% milk and 1/2 stick of butter - cooked the mac for 10 min after came back to full boil, we like FAT Mac. - drained - put butter and milk in bottom of pot, added drained Mac - put pot back on still warm (heat off ) burner - sprinkled sauce over and stirred in well with a fork. Covered and let set 4 or 5 min. before serving. Perfect, creamy and cheesy.

The Great Value Thick and Creamy Macaroni and Cheese is positively the best product on the market...it is perfection in a box...it is so much better than Kraft and over half the price...Thanks Walmart for making this product...I was glad when my Walmart was remodeled into a Supercenter so now I'm able to buy this product on a regular basis....it truly is the cheesiest!!!

I don't use too many convenience foods but I love this macaroni & cheese for a quick lunchtime treat. It's so much better than any other store or national brand and is always in my pantry.
The noodles always cook up nice, never mooshy. Sauce is always creamy and clings to those noodles like a cheesy blanket. The taste, Yum! My dog gets excited when I make this because he gets to lick the pan, lol. I don't know how he always knows, must be the smell of cheese in the air.:D

One wish though... your new box looks just about like the regular style of GV Macaroni and Cheese & I accidentally picked that up on my last shop. The regular style is no where near as good as the Thick and Creamy. Wish the box design was a bit different to easier distinguish between the two. Thanks!
