The Benadryl Extra Strength Itch Stopping Gel is an effective formula that could help relieve itching caused by various agents. This anti itch gel works by blocking histamine, which is known to cause itching. This fast acting Benadryl itch relief gel can be used to get relief from rashes, minor itches caused by insect bites, or those caused by plants such as poison ivy, sumac and oak. It is a topical poison ivy relief gel and should not be applied to broken skin. Consult a health specialist before using it for chicken pox or measles. It comes in a 4 fl oz pack.

I am allergic to mosquito bites and suffer huge welts and severe itching. This is the only anti-itch product I have ever found that stops the itching. None of the cortisone products have ever come close. It works quickly and stops the itching for a long time. It also stops itching caused by any other irritant.

I had a bottle for yrs. best stuff for stopping itching
ran empty so tried to find more looked everywhere

Best for Poison Oak

Best anti-itch gel I have found for the horrible california poison oak. Not only does it stop the itching it also helps dry it out fast. I have found the best treatment, first is remove & place clothes & shoes in wash, don't want to touch them after shower so do this first.. Then jump in a cold shower after rubbing in tecnu immediately after returning from a poison oak area. After shower, wipe down exposed skin like arms & legs with rubbing alcohol on rag or cotton etc. If you still manage to get a rash, let the tap run until it gets the coldest it will get. Run the cold water over affected areas for a good minute for each area. This will give relief in itself & gives immediate relief especially if you've been out in sun sweating & that rash just burns. Pat dry the skin then apply the gel. Works like a charm. I usually put small amount on & rub in till absorbed, then reapply & leave gel wet on skin & allow to dry. This really helps dry the rash out. A lot of times if you catch the rash as it first starts to appear, before itching starts, applying the gel liberally will dry it out before it takes hold.
Works great for mosquito bites & other irritants as well.
I know some say hot water, but hot water spreads oil while opening pores at the same time, not good.

The Benadryl Itch Stopping Gel lives up to it's name! We've found that it can handle just about any itch quickly and effectively. Highly recommend it to anyone who has tried other preparations and had poor results.
