From start very sensitive dial 3.5 is bread, 3.75 is verydark. Browns much faster on outside elements than middle elements, 6th week the lift element on one side refused to work, jamming both sides. Very disappointed in this Oster toaster. Bought this unit because of the ratings and am now surprised it had rated so well. Going back for a different manufacturer.

A really great looking toaster, alot of options! Still trying to get the setting just right for my toast, but I like it and need to get used to it.

Bought this toaster to replace a Toastmaster model I had purchased about a year ago that I was never satisfied with. This toaster does a great job of toasting evenly across the full slice of bread. It also raises the toaste high enough that you can get ahold of it to remove from the toaster. The warm and defrost feature are great, also. I highly recommend this toaster.
