This thing is phenomenal for working out my lower back. When I was in my 20s, 30 some years ago, there was something like this at the military base where I was stationed. My back was killing me so I would do just 10 or so reverse back sit downs or ups and after a couple of uses I swear my back quit hurting. Well today I am delighted to say this machine does everything the big one of these did at my base. Now my back pain has not gone away like it did 30 some years ago but after using it every day or so for about a week, I already notice a great improvement. I don’t overdo it, just 10 to 15 reverse sit ups then a little while later another 10 to 15. The first day I could really feel the burn. Now I just tire out, but I’m 58. Remember these sit-ups are performed face down from a hanging position. It was about $130 on Amazon so this was just a great deal. All that said, I agree with the other reviews I have read that the handles need to be 8 to 12 inches longer. Everything else with this gadget is perfect. Well hope this review helps in your decision process. God Bless and God Heath Donnie

Great piece of equipment, strong and inexpensive. Best old school workout for your core. Only one minor complaint; the cushion could be a little thicker but for the price it's perfect. Lastly the delivery was fast and the whole transaction was trouble free.

I love this! The Apex Hyperextension bench is just what I was looking for. I was a little concerned by how inexpensive it was but every site I went to, it had over 200 reviews...all positive! I bought it & it arrived quickly. I put it together by myself in less than 30 min. Its sturdy! Holds my husband with no problem & doesn't budge or wiggle. I love it! Couldn't be happier...already recommended it to friends!

Review 10 for Roman Chair/Hyperextension Bench
Sturdy piece, awesome price

Amazing value, cheapest price out there. I was worried that for such a cheap price this product would be weak or flimsy, but it is awesome. We are so happy with our purchase. Works well for my husband, and works well for me too - the only downside is that it's a little difficult for me to get up on, I have to jump ( I'm 5'1) but that's nothing a stool can't fix. It only took us about 15-20 mins to put together.

This is very easy to put together as long as you have the right tools (adjustable wrench & allen wrentch) and make sure to tighten everything well. I read through the reviews before I decided to buy and noticed a few people were disappointed with this equipment being wobbly and unstable. You should make sure to line up all the bolts in the holes before you tighten and you wont have any problems.
This is one of the best pieces of equipment for core training. I use it for back extensions and even turn over and do intense situps as well. I LOVE it!

I am 6'4" and 220# and noticed if I have too much of my body over the front end the bench will try to tip over. I put some concrete screws into the floor to hold it down. Also noticed some creaking of the board under the padding if you do any type of twisting core that requires one side of the board to hold all of the weight.

I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and I bought this Roman Chair for my private training facility. I am very pleased with the quality and functionality of it. Assembly was a breeze and only took about 30 minutes. I searched for a Roman Chair on over 20 different websites and I am glad I decided to get this one. Great piece of equipment at a very affordable price!

I was impressed with the overall quality for the price. The components are strong, heavy duty, and assemble with precision. (everything lines up properly) The instructions are clear and complete, and even the assembly hardware (nuts and bolts) are organized and labeled. Highly recommend

Review 18 for Roman Chair/Hyperextension Bench
Not very sturdy

My old roman chair somehow did not make the move so I purchased this one to hold me until I had funds to purchase something better. It is somewhat wobbly even though I secured all the screws and bolts tightly. I use it but not as much as I'd like to due to fear that it will fall apart. I would not recommend this product. Please go buy a more expensive one as I should have done.
