Was very excited to receive thin in the mail and very happy to use it the first time. Then I realized that this has a built in mechanism to stop the massage after 20 min and would not start again until about 45-min. Bot me and my wife liked to use it one after another but were forced to wait for up to two hours for each 15 min massage. Wish if that time delay was not inevitable. Otherwise, massage feature works really great. Certainly would not recommend this if more that one person in the household would like to use this. I am certain to return this product at the store.

Purchase this product because I have neck problems. It will not sit correctly on your shoulders to massage your neck, you have to hold it and on the highest setting it still does not work good. I am returning to Walmart

This massager is just what I have been needing for ages now! After reading reviews on this product, I was hesitant but hopeful that it would work! For me, I like it... but it depends on what you like massage-wise b/c my husband doesn't care for it. That's ok, it's all mine! I'm petite enough that I can also place it around my waiste and let it massage my lower back -- talk about a little slice of heaven w/o having to pay to go to a masseur!! LOVE IT!

Better Than I Expected

I purchased this product without many expectations, because I have tried several other shiatsu massagers that fell short. This one did not disappoint, however. It's fairly lightweight and the fact that it has a long cord is a plus, since our couch is not very close to an electrical outlet. It is very simple to operate, with just the push of a button - once for regular massage and twice for heated massage. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the heated massage is very nice and warm, which helps my muscles a lot. The pillow part of the massager is soft and comfortable to lean on or put under an arm or a leg. All in all, I really like this product and would recommend it, especially for shoulder & neck pain.

Helped get rid of sore muscle pain

I love this item, it is my new best friend. Had some
really sore places around my neck and shoulders. Was trying to not have to go to the doctor. This helped relax the muscles and alleviate most of the pain I was having. Love it!!!!!

Since this product was originally advertised as a back and shoulder massager, I expected it to actually massage my shoulders...but it only have rotating fingers to massage the neck. Also, the rotating fingers were not sufficiently geared to keep them from slipping or stopping the motor, very poor design. The Homedics neck massager is less money and a way better design.

Dead After 1 Hour

I got it as a gift for my mom... she had neck and shoulder injuries, so I thought it would be perfect for her. She thought it felt great... until an hour later, the unit died for no aparent reason. I returned the item for a refund.

I've been having tons of tension headaches lately due to work stress and this little gem of a product has all but gotten rid of them. It feels like hands kneading into my neck muscles - - and I'm able to move it around my back too and lean up against a chair or sofa and have it knead into my back muscles in those trigger spots too. Great value for the money spent on it!

This product was very helpful for the 1st hr i used it. I have a shoulder problem and it causes pain in my neck & back.. I think the heat was great and the massage was fantastic. I was able to manevaur it so that i massaged my whole neck not just the back. The only downfall was after an hr it stopped working!

This does not work. It is supposed to massage the shoulders, it doesn't. It hits more on the base of the skull, not at the shoulders. The "fingers" are too hard, and don't move enough. And it doesn't fit well around the neck. I tried every position, and it didn't work. I returned it a few days after it arrived.

I bought this product for my dad for christmas. It was a huge hit, not only with him, but with anyone who just had to try it! My daughter and I have each bought one since. In fact, I'm online finding a store where I can buy another one for a gift, since our local Walmart is out-of-stock. People need to keep in mind, this is a Shiatsu massage..deep tissue. If you feel sore after using, or bruised, you were putting way too much pressure on the machine. This massager works out those knots in the neck and eases neck and headache pain almost instantly. The heat could be a little better, you can't really feel it, but that is not important to me...it's the nice, deep massage on those sore neck muscles that counts.

Love the product. Definately worth it. For those that have moderate neck pain this is a must. A tad noisy but then the motors are close to your ears. This is quickly outweighed by the almost instant relief in neck pain. Great for those that also get headaches brought on by neck pain. In combination with Conair's My Aromotherapy Air Revitalizor you become instantly relaxed and feel the stress melt away.
