Well, we went through a lot to find this. We had ordered a different pocket-sized HD video camera for twice the price and we were not pleased with it at all. We did a lot of research after that. We have an 18 month old son and another baby due in January. We have a regular video camera, but we wanted something different. On our video camera I'm always worried that I will accidentally tape over something or else I've left the battery on and it's dead. We wanted something small, convenient to take with that was handy for those don't want to miss moments. This video camera has been working GREAT! You can turn it on and take a video within seconds, which is vital with little ones. It's also super easy to use, I didn't read the user manual until later, just to make sure I wasn't missing something. It's also been simple to email videos to our family. With the other video camera we bought the file size was too large to send. This conveniently resizes it especially for email! All in all this is a great product!

The Kodak Zi6 was just what I needed.

I've been taking movie clips of the grandchildren for several years and have become weary of splicing them together into movies that will play on my WD media player. It likes mpeg and mov formats, but doesn't handle the audio of avi format well.

With this camera, I can cut and paste the files directly from the camera card to the disk drive of the media player, not stopping to convert or combine any files. Kodak's choice of Apple QT format really makes this product work well for me.

There was only one competing product that creates mpeg files directly, but it is more expensive and my experience with that company suggests that the mpeg camera will be fragile.

Great product at a great price!

Been looking for a small handheld camera for awhile and found this on the site. I am techno impaired but this camera is so simple. Insert the batteries, plug in an SD card, and hit the record button! The most aggravating thing was waiting for the batteries to charge! I typically use it to record my granddaughters antics and I couldn't be happier with the performance. I got the bundle which included extra batteries, case, tripod, and cleaning kit. I haven't used the tripod yet but the extra batteries sure come in handy. The case (just a small zipper pouch) is great too cuz I just chuck it all in my purse and take it on the go. This is a great camera for everyone (kids to adults) and I would recommend this one.

The Kodak Zi 6 is a great little grab and shoot digital camera. For good quality video and stills. It fits in a shirt pocket so, you can take it almost anywhere. The batery life is good and with recahargable batteries you can document your whole day. This camera has made me take a new look at Kodak. This camera gets back to what made Kodak famous. Simple to use cameras that take good photoes. at a reasonable price. The Zi 6 is a winner.

The camera is awkward to use as you have to hold it away from your face to see the LCD screen on the back of the camera to take videos. The quality of the recorded video is no better than that recorded with digital cameras.

We took this camera to Florida on our honeymoon! It was great! Fit in our pockets and was always ready to go! The pictures and videos were good quality. The batteries don't last the longest! But, we usually forget to turn the camera off in between shooting photos! Thats our fault!

Be sure to buy a big enough S-card. You will want to take a lot of videos with it!

This little video camera seems very well designed other than a few things. First, and most importantly, even when the unit is powered OFF it still seems to drain the batteries. I left it off for a few days (it still had more than 3/4 charge when I turned it off) I was surprised that it would not turn on at all. I discovered that the batteries were drained. This seems to make no sense as all that the batteries should be doing is keeping the date and time current when it is off.

The close up setting on the camera is EXTREMELY close up, meaning maybe an inch or two from the object. It is otherwise useless. The manual does tell you this setting is for closeups only inches from the lens. Despite this, the closeup setting is extremely clear. I was able to count the follicles on my hand when looking at the view screen.

The design is convenient and fairly simple to operate. The camera can capture in 3 different video formats: HD, standard quality, youtube quality, and .jpg still photos. The size is very convenient and can be carried in a pocket. A shiny button on the lens side doubles as a focus mirror for aim if you are holding the camera aimed at yourself and filming, and when pushed the button causes the USB connector to swing out with vigor.

This comes with a nice little kit as well including a very small tripod, a micro fiber cloth case/lens wiper, cleaning fluid in a slick little pump bottle, two SETS of rechargable batteries WITH a charger (two at a time) and a second zippered nylon type carry case. A neat little setup and the best I have seen for the money. Now if they could just fix the battery drain problem.

Better than the Flip Video in so many ways. The memory card purchase ups the price, however.
