If you are like me, you read the reviews so that you can learn from others mistakes - if any. One thing for sure, this electric razor is worth every cent. It is easy to clean under the faucet and runs quietly. The one issue that expected would occur is that they razor does not have an effective trimmer. Most of the razors don't have good trimmers on it. Overall, very worth the money. Cleans easily, runs excellent.

Extremely pleased with product...easy to use... lightweight for my disabled husband to use on his own. Had one previously but made the mistake of attempting to sharpen blades...ruined the shaver's effectiveness.

Not worth the trouble,

This was meant as a replacement of an older Philips Norelco Quadra HQ6 electric shaver so I was expecting a similar experience, if not better, for a newer product. Not this one. In all fairness, I am comparing products from different classes (high vs. basic), so your experience might be different, depending on your comparison basis. Pros: Worked out of the box, no missing components. Cons: 1. There is no flexibility or "give" in the shaving head, making reaching hard-to-get places next to impossible. 2. The blade system cuts almost as poorly as the old shaver's (2 years old, never replaced the head). Conclusion: I returned it to Walmart (very customer-friendly return department) and upgraded to a higher-end Philips electric shave (Coolskin). It might work for you if you have a rounder face and straight face hair ... not for me.

I have had the Norelco 7340xl for over a week and I am duly impressed with the quality of the shave I am getting. This is my 5th electric razor, and, by far, it is the best. After suffering through two broken Remington shavers and two dependable, but poor performing, Braun razors, I finally got it right. This razor gives a very close shave, is super easy to clean, and is eerily quiet. Thus far I have had seven shaves with one charge. As we used to say in my generation, far out!!! My wife and I are moving to Germany in the near future and it is nice to know that replacement parts will be no issue for this razor. I may, however, buy a second razor due to the dramatic price differential between the US and German model. Good work, Noreclo/Philips!!!

My husband got his first Electric razor 3 years ago when he was undergoing Chemotherapy and the doctors didn't want him using a regular razor. We got a Norelco because I have brothers who use them and they claim it is the best electric razor on the market. It did a good job, not as close as a razor, but very convenient. When he got the OK to go back to his blade razor, he stayed with the Norelco due to the ease and convenience of use. When the razor stopped shaving well, it cost almost as much to get new heads as to buy a new razor, so we just went ahead and got a new one. It is shaving way closer than the last one, and my husband loves it. He says he sees no benefit to going back to a blade razor again, this gives him such a close shave. WalMart had the best price (as usual) I found after scouring the web. I don't kno what we would do without WalMart! Love both WalMart and Norelco.

poorly designed...does not give any idea when it is almost discharged...and to save the battery ... according to the instructions...you are not to recharge until the battery is almost fully discharged. also, the unit does not indicate when the battery is recharged fully...i supposed i need a cone-shaped wizard hat, wand and crystal ball at least it works...for now...the price is twice the value
