This monitor was one of the only I have seen that is flat panel yet not a "wide"screen. I am using it on an older machine that does not support the current high end graphics - so I didn't want a wide screen that would distort the picture. This monitor was a perfect fit. I am very happy with it.

We replaced a Samsung 731BF with the Acer V173. Guess what -- the Acer cost half (at the time) what the Samsung cost, and the quality is superb, if not better. Much more control with the Acer over brightness. You can set to very bright, or reduce -- very easily. This monitor views as if it is top-of-the-line. We've had it installed for 45 days now. AWESOME. And, we had it shipped to our home directly from Wal-Mart. I paid with Amex and got an extra year of warranty on top of the 3 YEAR warranty that comes with this model. UNBEATABLE deal.

I couldn't be happier with this monitor. The screen is a great size and the picture it delivers is crisp and clear. My old monitor's picture was beginning to blur and was giving me a headache everytime I used it. This one is the best monitor I've had to date. Definitely worth the purchase price.

this product is great! I work for a company that has sub-par equipment and wouldn't provide proper equipment for me to do my job being that i'm on a computer ALL day. I purchased this monitor to replace a 17 inch CRT . The price is very good, and the performance is better than most low priced LCD monitors. No dead or stuck pixels. Slight bleed thru of light on top and bottom. If you have a giant CRT monitor, the LCD screens of the same stated size are slightly larger and much less real estate is used. The energy savings is another plus for LCD's. it can be half or more, less energy used.
