The 1 year Replacement Plan is definitely worth it's weight in gold. Although I haven't had to replace the Heart Rate Monitor this plan covers, I've purchased Replacement Plan's for other items I've purchased from Wal Mart in the past, and have never had a problem getting a replacement for any item I had to return because of defect.
