I bought this for my 2 year old and it has exceeded my expectations. The battery life is the best I have ever seen in a portable dvd player and it's easy to operate. It plays all formats and the picture quality and sound are outstanding. Plus it comes in a wide range of colors and this one happend to be her favorite - pink!
I am glad I spent the extra money to get the quality of a Sony product. I could have bought a cheaper unit but it is true - you get what you pay for.

My daughter absolutely loves the color of her new pink dvd player. The quality is excellent, the screen is flexible and turns which makes it much less easily broken. The remote control is easy for her to use and understand. With her old portable when we were in the car on the highway it was difficult to hear but Sony has improved this to where we can all hear the movie just great. I am blown away by the quality of this dvd player.

This DVD player has been an absolute life saver!! I've been having a difficult time going anywhere with my 3 month old, at times she can be extremely fussy in the car. The motion of the car ride just didn't seem to sooth her like it did when she was first born, especially when its dark at night and she's in the back seat alone. I purchased this to try with her since I noticed she was really enjoying the bright colors, movement and music watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I didn't want the expense of the installed ones in the headrest, not to mention that once they are installed there is no moving it when she gets older and her carseat gets turned around facing forward. This seemed like the perfect idea and something that she'll use no matter how old she gets. How much do we moms spend on anything we think will work, then use it for a short time and they have no interest! We've taken it not only in the car, but in restaurants, to grandmas, and even to her portrait sessions to make her laugh. Right now its a lifesaver for me and she'll still be enjoying it when she gets older. The picture quality is beautiful. Couldn't have made a better choice for quality, convenience of size, LOVE the remote option for when I'm driving!! The carrying case that attaches to the headrest purchased separately at Wal-Mart is a must have! I leave it attached and just bring the dvd player in and out of the car so I don't have to lock it in and out everytime we go somewhere. This should be an essential for any mom even at this early stage. Long car rides, especially those who live in cow country and it takes forever to get anywhere, can be very stressful, but this has been wonderful. I would recommend this over any of the toys or mirrors for babies. This is an excellent investment!! :)

Wow, this LCD screen is Great. The idea of the best screen in a portable DVD is wonderful. I only wish it played video data files or MPGs. You only get DVDs and then JPEG, MP3 files on a data disc. I hoped it played VCD, but it does not in case you too didn't know. I also like that the controls are on the screen panel, so when you turn the swivel around it's a tablet DVD player too.

I got a pink for my 8-year old daughter and red for my 5-year old son. Both of them are very happy with their new "toy". My boy even likes the DVD player better than our big screen TV for his favorite movies. It will be nice to come with a carrying case for a car trip. Though a bit pricey, with the brand reputation hope that the player will last long.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She lives 7 hours away and has a 3 year old. The battery life is perfect for this trip. My grandaughter watched movies almost the whole trip home except when she slept. My daughter was able to concentrate more on her driving. The picture and sound quality are excellent as well.

This player is fantastic! It has excellent picture, sound and battery life. I have zero complaints about it, at all. I bought it to save us from long trips with my daughter who gets very antsy if she is in the car a long time but with Dora, Mickey & Spongebob along for the ride we have absolutely no problems anymore. It was also great to keep us occupied during the long hours that my dad/her grandpa was in surgery. All in all a great product, has a good size screen for a portable player too. Get this, you will not be disappointed.

My 4 year old daughter received this for Christmas. We have been very happy with it so far. We got this one as opposed to other products because of the screen size and the price was very comperable to others. We also liked how the screen swivels. I'm not sure the battery lasts as long as it's suppose to, but it lasts long enough. Has a great picture and sound quality as usual with Sony. I am very pleased with this product.
