Hoover Nano Light Upright Compact Vacuum

For $55 this is absolutely amazing. My Kirby died half way thru the weekly vacuuming so I ran to Walmart and picked this after reviewing online and the price, since my intention was something cheap before the Kirby was repaired. No use spending money on the repairs, this puppy is awesome. The dust bunnies and hair(mine) was the size of my fist and that is where the Kirby had already vacuumed.

Only complaint is the electrical cord is way too short for my room sizes and wish it had a wider path since the house is 1500 sqft. but it has become the number one cleaner in my house!!!

Our family buys a vacuum about once a year because they never last. We used to get fairly expensive ones, around $100, but they weren't any better. For the price, this vacuum was a good year rental. I bought it just after Christmas last year, and it stopped working last week. I cleaned the filters, checked the hose and base, didn't find any clogs, it just won't work. However, when it did work, it did very well. I have a 2 year old and beige carpet, so need to vacuum almost daily.

Pros:
-Good suction
-Hose attachment worked well
-Light enough to use on stairs
-Easy to use
-Easy to empty
-Inexpensive

Cons:
-Has setting for bare floors, but just blew dirt around
-Cord is too short, had to change outlets more often than with other vacuums
-Have to put vacuum directly on larger things, like cheerios, or it will just push them around
-Looks like a toy
-Lasted less than a year

So overall it was decent, i just wish i didn't have to buy a new one again. This time i'm going with a Dirt Devil, haven't had one of them in a while.

This little powerhouse vacuum is worth its weight in gold. It vacuums my persian rugs and floors with ease. I am 57 and have hardwood and tile floors and scattered area rugs. Works great!!!!! and I have owned the best. I am so glad I purchased this item. It is lightweight and plastic but dont let that fool you. It is easy to empty cup. The hose detaches if you need to pick up something or vacuum the car. Thanks Hoover!!!!!!! I will buy again if needed. Well worth the price.

Originally we bought if for the price and compact size when we were traveling in our RV, we have since stopped RVing and I use it in our second home and it works better than many full size vacuums I have used in the past. It is amazing. The suction and the amount of debris it picks up is shocking every time. You will not be sorry if you purchase this product. I would purchase it again in a heartbeat. The bag-less system is the best part since I am always buying bags for my other vacuum. And I have owned mine for 2 years and it is still going strong!

Ordered online Friday had it by the next Wednsday.
Very pleased with it. Picks up as well as my large upright. At first I wondered because it was so small.
But better than the bigger ones. Fits in everywhere my big vaccum wouldnt with the same amps as the big one.
Emptying container is even better because the bottom drops right over the trash. Unlike the bigger one that seems get alot of dust around when I pour it out over the trash.
The Nano would be a perfect gift for a dorm room.
Its also alot easier to store because it doesnt take up much room in the closet. The handle length is adjustable.

My previous Hoover upright broke down after 8 loyal years of service... got Dirt Devil - stopped sucking after 5 or 6 uses, returned it. Got this one and couldn't be happier. This vacuum is small but maneurable and gets to the tight spaces. It is powerful and sucks dust no worse than my previous Hoover. I like the fact that I can switch from carpet to hard floor and can change to a brush easily. The best feature of this vacuum is its light weight - no problem carrying it upstairs. I only would want it to have a filter to throw away after use: I don't want to see the dirt through the window... For this price and the purpose of merely sucking dust, I think this is the best vacuum on the market. Way to go, Hoover!

i bought the nano after i read reviews myself, but you are not as always that lucky to get a good product just because some people say it's good. this vacuum cleans everything!!! my husband replastered our whole upstairs so you can imagine the dust and powder and everything else....it not only went through all that but also all our pet's hair. we have two cats upstairs and everytime i use it, i'm surprised how much it picks up. this is the smallest most powerful machine i've ever used. i would recommend this to anyone..ie the elderly for it's lightweight handling. i had seen problems with the cord length previously posted, but i didn't find this to be a problem. yes i had to move the plug a couple times but with what other vacuum dont you have to? this product sails over my expectations!!!

This is the second Nanolite I have owned. I LOVE it!! The suction is great and it is not so heavy that it is difficult to take up and down stairs. I would use this over any higher priced vacuum cleaner. The only thing I would change would be to make the hose a little longer, other than that I wouldn't change a thing!! GREAT PRODUCT!!

I am very disappointed with this vacuum. I have three kids and when they come home from school their shoes have sand in them and it gets all over the carpet, the vacuum has such a poor suction that it just holds the sand under the agitator brush roll, it does not suction it into the dirt cup, the same with carpet freshner.

I empty out the dirt cup right before I vacuum just to see if that would make a difference and it just doesn't work. I will be returning this vacuum today.

Maybe I just got a bad one, since all the other reviews are good. Who knows.
