Little Tikes Digital Video Camera

Keep the directions handy for set up. I think this is a fabulous toy and a great value at Wal-Mart prices, but it is a bit complex for a three-year-old. Give it an extra year or two and the attention span will be plenty long enough for fun play with this toy. It is really cool to see what the kids film, but do be prepared for those SURPRISE shots! (Keep those directions and) Enjoy.

I got this for my son for Christmas because he always wants to use my video camera and digital camera! He really loves it so far. It's easy for him to use and he can't wait to use it in the pool this summer! I also really like that you can put an SD card in it to take longer video!

Sadly, this product is a huge waste of your time and money. We purchased this for our 8 year old daughter for Christmas, and between four adults, we never could get the battery hatch/door opened. She was so disappointed, as were we. I returned it today and got a full refund.

I purchased the Little Tykes Digital Video Camera for my 3 year old grandson for Christmas. The picture is very blurry when you are looking through the view finder. You can't even tell what you are videoing. It took 4 people to finally get the watertight seal off so we could install the batteries. Way overpriced and too difficult for a 3 year old even though that was the age listed on the box.

I got this product for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas and after seening it on TV over a 1,000 times it looked like an awesome product and perfect for my her. Well, the commercial is decieving. After we went though about a half an hour of tryin to get the batteries in it was time to turn it on. And I was very suprised for a "kids" toy that the buttons were really hard to push. Then once we turned it on and started using it is when we realiezed what a poor picture quality it was. Now I wasn't expecting the best because I know it is a kid toy but you couldn't even see a persons face, just their sillouette and when we took it outside to see if more light would help, the whole screen turned white because it was so bright. So I couldn't find a happy medium...it was either too dark or too bright. I was very disappointed with this product because my daughter was so excited about it and then when she tried to play with it she was disappointed herself. I might have kept it if i was like $30 but not $100. That is too much money for something that doesn't take good pictures, doesn't record good video, and does not live up up to the comercials and all the hype about it. Not worth it!

We bought this for my two year old daughter and while I understand it is intended for kids a little older than her I still think it could be easier to use. First off when we opened it up and were trying to put batteries in it it took us upwards of 45 mins to get the "water proof" battery cover off...there is NO way to get a grip on it to break the seal. Once I finally pryed it off with a screwdriver (which created a lot of scratches) and got batteries in it I was surprised how hard I had to push the buttons to turn it on and operate it. Also, the LCD screen is VERY dark and has poor quality. Granted, I didn't expect the HIGHEST quality considering it is a child's toy, but my daughter cant even tell what pictures she has taken. So, while my daughter definitely enjoys it despite it's obvious flaws, I can't say I would recommend purchasing it.
